CHARACTERISTIC

OF RECOUNT TEXT
GROUP 3
EXAMPLE
My Grandpas House town
Two weeks ago, I and my family were in my grandpa’s hometown. it
is our annual agenda every holiday in the end of Semester.
Unfortunately, it was rainy season there.

it rained almost every day there. We had no enough time to visit

some tourism places there because of the rain. We had no enough
sunlight even to dry up our laundries. As a result, we just stayed at
home almost all day long. Seeing the condition, we decided to
make an interesting activity indoor to spend the holiday together.
The activity we chose that day was making funny videos directed
by me. Finishing the videos, we edited them and made them
uploaded in youtube.

By doing this, we could kill our boredom of staying at home

because of the rain and made a creative activity instead.
THE CHARACTERISTIC
1. Even though it has the same purpose as narrative
text to entertain the reader, there are differences. In
the recount text, there is no conflict told by the author.
So, purely story related.

2. There is always a sequence of stories. For example,

like the example above, that is, there is the first day,
the second day, and so on.

the story. The example is, "i and my family" in
first paragraph

conjunction used to express the order in
which events occur Examples of
chronological links are then, next, at the
end, in addition.

whose job is to connect two words,
phrases, or sentences. Example: and, or,
until, while, but, and many more.
Using Adverbs
It provides more information or describes in more
detail than verbs, adjectives, and other words.
Example extremely, carefully, slowly, etc.

Using Adverbial Pharse

Adverbial phrase is a word that functions as an adverb to
clarify the meaning of the sentence as a whole. This phrase
is usually used to describe verbs, adjectives, clauses,
sentences, or even other adverbs Example: it rains almost
every day there. We had no enough time to visit some
tourist places there because of the rain.
Using time connetive and sequence
connectives are words or phrases that connect
parts of words, phrases, clauses or sentences. If you
look again at point number 6 and 7, they are part of
Connectives. As for the time connectives, for
