Reflection Paper

1. What portions or topics in today's class session you can relate with most. List at least 3
then tell us Why?
- In today’s class session we’ve discussed about the 500th year of conversion of St.
Ignatius de Loyola. We have looked back in the past, we reminisce the life of St. Ignatius
de Loyola, how he lived his life, and what are his experiences that made him closer to
God. Understanding and learning the lesson we’ve discussed, I can relate to some of the
life experiences of St. Ignacius de Loyola. As a teenager in this generation, I can also
relate to having the privilege and being capable in life like St. Ignacius, I also used this
privilege to enjoy my life and live it to the fullest like there’s no tomorrow, I also faced
challenges and problems in my life that caused me to reflect and assess my life. Looking
back at those past happenings in my life, I’ve realized that the true essence of life, is
being able to do good things that will help you grow as an individual and a human being.
Being able to reflect and asses your life is essential in achieving growth. And for us to be
able to do this we have to connect and build our relationship with God and seek for his
guidance.

2. What significant lessons have you gained from today's topics? Why are they significant
to you?
- I’ve realized that despite the downs in our lives, the challenges and problems we
encounter and experience, there are always a space for new beginnings and there is
always a chance for growth and change. Especially in today’s context of our society,
community, and the world, where we face this unexpected and unforeseen challenges
brought to us by the pandemic. As Pope Francis said, this pandemic can be a time for
conversion. What we are living now is “metanoia” or conversion, and we have the chance
to begin. There is always a chance for growth and new beginnings.

3. How do you intend to do with these lessons you gained?

- Reflecting on my life I realized that these lessons I have gained from today’s topic is
very essential and necessary in my growth as a person. It will be a great contributor
for me as a person in achieving and seeing the good in everything despite the bad
things. It is really essential as a person to have a strong relationship with God, we
should seek for his guidance in everything that we do. We should always put God in
the center of everything. As an Atenean we always seek for the greater glory of God
and for the betterment of the human society.
