CONAMS LIONS OVERPOWER OTHER TEAMS ON WOMEN’S TAEKWONDO COMPETITION OF

PALARONG WESLEYAN 2023

With fearless and spectacularly aggressive players, CONAMS Lions bagged the championship in
Women’s Taekwondo as they kicked off with 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals during
taekwondo matches held on the 3rd floor, SM Megacenter last March 22.

With 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze, CCJE Red Stallions ranked first; while CBA Dragons had 1
gold, 3 silvers, and 4 bronzes. Meanwhile, CECT Tiger Sharks brought home 2 silvers.
Outstanding performances from the Red Stallions earned them the second highest ranking, with
CBA Dragons and CECT Tiger Sharks following closely behind.

The finalists who unleashed a wild sequence of kicks to secure a gold medal in the Senior
Women’s Novice division were Jamaica Capinpin of CCJE Red Stallions in the Flyweight (-
49kg) category; Marq Allexis Gonzales of CBA Dragons in  Featherweight (-57kg); Alessandra
Mangulabnan of CCJE Red Stallions in Middleweight (-67kg); and Jewel Jade Ramos of
CONAMS Lions in Heavyweight.

In the Senior Women Advance division, the gold medalists who devoured their prey with a great
amount of power were Danielle Rommelie Ramos on Flyweight; Jaimie Lapeña on
Featherweight; Jazmine Rose Dela Cruz on Middleweight; and Princess Chris Velasco on
Heavyweight. Ramos, Lapeña and Velasco fought for CONAMS Lions while Dela Cruz belongs
to CCJE Red Stallions.

Meanwhile, the finalists who bagged silver medals from the action-packed matches in the Senior
Women Novice division were CBA Dragons’ Jeniffer Maglihum on Flyweight; CCJE Red
Stallion’s Ma. Cristina Barcelona on Featherweight; another from CBA Dragons, Colin Abcdef
Belen, who fought Middleweight; and another Red Stallion, Shiela May De Guzman, in
Heavyweight.

The Senior Women Advance Division players who showed aggressiveness for the silver medal
were CECT Tiger Sharks’ Alexis Dalangin in the Flyweight category; Khatricia Villareal from
the same team in Feathweight; CONAMS Lions’ Marielle Geronimo in Middleweight; and
Maria Irene Louise of CBA Dragons in Heavyweight.

Still going home with bronze medals from their rewardingly assertive kicks and punches in the
Senior Women’s Novice Division were CONAMS Lions’ Frezelle Britney Simon in the
Flyweight category, Maria Nancy Baguio on Featherweight, and Joanna Marie Lamson on
Middleweight; and CBA Dragons’ Kimberly Aurora Cruz.

Lastly, in the Senior Women Advance division, CCJE Red Stallions’ Maribel Pascua and Nicole
San Pedro won bronze medals in the Flyweight and Featherweight categories. CBA Dragons’
Christine Ann Pajarillo, Julienne Mae Dela Cruz, and Hicee Dela Cruz won medals in the
Flyweight, Featherweight and Middleweight categories.
