CONAMS Lions took home the gold in Sepak Takraw

The Lions bagged the championship in the Sepak Takraw tournament after beating the Tiger
Sharks at WUP Junior High School on the last day of this year's intramurals, March 24.

The championship game took off intensely due to a close fight between the teams. The first set of
the first regu was in favor of the Lions with 21-15 scores. But the Tiger Sharks recovered in the
second set with scores of 21-10, resulting in an equal finish for both teams. In the third set, Lions
reclaimed the upperhand with a score of 15-12

Tiger Sharks showed their grit to win by leading the second regu. With every kick and strike,
CECT outlasted the Lions 21-9 in the first set and 21-18 in the second set. Their determination
paid off, as the Tigers secured the match victory with a hard-fought 2-1 set lead.

The battle for the gold got fiercer as the game reached the third regu as both teams tied in the
first and second regu.

And the Lions without wasting any more time to claim the gold prevailed in the third regu,
finishing with the scores 21 - 11 & 21 - 13, leading the last two sets.

Even Sean Dave Castillo of Lions experienced difficulty in breathing while finishing the third set
of the first regu, they did not let it hinder their win.

“Pagiging humble and strategy with communication siguro ng team, Saka sa amin po kung sino
kasama mo mula una hanggang dulo dapat kayo lang talaga” Kobe Neal Mallari & Sean Dave
Herbert Castillo shared as Lions dominated the championship game.

“Proud ako sa team ko kahit yung iba ay first timer sa sport na ito, I can see their heart and
dedication sa laro and kahit di kami nakukumpleto sa training din minsan. Higit sa lahat
salamat sa Panginoon sa guidance” CONAMS Lions Coach Janah Charisse Dela Cruz said.

Meanwhile, the fiery battle of CBA Dragons secured them third place after a victory over CCJE
Red Stallion.
