CBA DRAGONS OWNED THE TROPHY OF CHAMPIONS IN

MEN'S TABLE TENNIS

Despite not losing any games for two days straight, CBA Dragons triumphed in Men's Table
Tennis after they won the final match against CONAMS Lions with scores of 11-6, 11-2, 11-2 in
Singles A; 12-10, 11-6, 11-9 in Doubles on March 23, 2023.

After two days of intense, back-and-forth play, the CBA Dragons finally pulled ahead in the
third set of Singles A and never looked back. They went on to dominate the remaining sets,
ultimately winning the match and claiming victory as defending champions.

The four players who won the crown were Charles De Guzman for Singles A, Lowie Pineda and
Ian Faller for Doubles, and Markus Bayudan for Singles B. "Of course, masaya kasi I know na
magiging masaya and proud yung department ko which is CBA and last time bronze lang kami
so parang it's a comeback for us." Men's Table Tennis Team Captain Lowie Pineda said while
remembering the Dragons' placement last Palarong Wesleyan.

According to the Team Captain, all departments are strong, but specifically mentioned the
CONAMS Lions due to their fighting spirit and departmental support. The Lions, however, fell
to the Dragons by 6-11, 2-11, 2-11 in Singles A and 10-12, 6-11, 9-11 in Doubles, placing them
in First Runner-up.

Meanwhile, the CECT Tiger Sharks won Singles A by default. However, they came up short in
their last two games, falling to Second Runner-up with scores of 5-11, 10-12, 3-11 in Doubles
and 3-11, 4-11, 5-11 in Singles B.
