CONAMS Lions took home the gold after smashing through their six opponents and defeating
the CBA Dragons during the Women’s Badminton Finals with a team score of 2-1. The match
was held on March 27, 2023, at Dominance Court, Daang Sarile.

The match kicked off with a rough start as the CBA Dragons got a lead during the Singles Set A
match. The Dragons won after two intense sets that ended with 21-6, 21-12 with the Dragons on
top. Afterwards, the Lions gained their momentum back during their Badminton Doubles
match, winning the match and earn a point for their team.

The Lions succeeded in winning the Badminton Doubles match, showing resilience and
determination to even the score and remain in the game.

The Lions' comeback continues in their Singles Set B match as they win against the dragons,
securing gold after three long matches against the mighty dragons. Even though they lost the
first battle, the CONAMS Lions won the war against the CBA Dragons. 

With their victory, the Lions have shown their strength and resilience, proving that they are a
force to be reckoned with in the Singles Set B arena.

According to CONAMS team captain, Rica Ella Aquirre they prepared for the game with
consistent training and teamwork to claim the championship title. Aquirre also stated she is
proud of her team’s victory.
