- What kind of place is your
hometown?
This is a large town with a very large
number of people living there….
- What is the most interesting part of
your hometown?
My hometown is in LV district, which
is near the VL province. This is a large
area with a number of people living in
there. There are some well–known
destinations in my hometown such as
God market, Dinh Yen mat village…
Especially, this place is also famous for
agricultural products like Lai Vung
tangerine, fermented pork rolls…Truth
be told, I really love my hometown
because east or west home is best.
- Do you want to live in a big city or in
a small town?
When I am young, I prefer to live in a
big city like Can Tho because this city
provides me with a lot of job
opportunities and services, allowing me
to enjoy a high living standard.
However, when I am older, I enjoy
living in a small town.
- What is your village like?
Although my village is small and not
well - know for any particular thing, it
has several advantages that make it a
great place to live. For example, people
are quite helpful and open-hearted.
They are willing to give you a hand
whenever you need it. The village is
quiet, which makes it a relaxing

- Do you like your hometown?
I really love my hometown as I’ve
grown up there since I was a kid. All of
my life has been associated with this
place from my family, my school, and
my friends to my house, my street, etc.
- Is that a big city or a small place?
How long have you been living there?
As I mentioned before, I’ve lived there
since I was a kid. Having said that, I
lived there for almost 18 years until I
moved to Can Tho to enter a
university. It’s a large city facilitated
by a top-notch infrastructure and
numerous convenient services.
- Do you think you will continue living
there for a long time?
I don’t think so. I tend to live in Can
Tho because this city provides me with
a lot of job opportunities and services,
allowing me to enjoy a high living
standard.
- Would you like to live in the
countryside in the future?
I haven’t thought about that but if I had
to choose, I would rather live in my
hometown. Because you know, despite
being a big city like Can Tho, the
atmosphere in Dong Thap is cleaner
and fresher than that in the capital,
which is really beneficial for me to
enjoy my retirement age.
- What is the difference between living
in the countryside and the city? What
do you like to do in the countryside?
From my perspective, the former
differs from the latter in some aspects.
Firstly, it’s apparently the environment.

addition to the living atmosphere, there
are some fabulous foods that you can’t
stand casting. Some of the great foods
include Vietnamese pancakes with tons
of fresh vegetables and sweet and sour

the city?
I think that many citizens tend to live
in the city because of some reasons.
First, it is way more convenient than in
the countryside thanks to its cutting-
edge facilities, like hospitals, food, and
beverage delivery, etc. Second, their
children can receive a better
educational environment. Finally,
people have more chances to get jobs
with high salaries.
- What is your neighborhood like?
I have to say that they are kind,
generous, supportive, and amiable.
Whenever my family is faced
with any adversity, we can turn to our
neighbors for advice or help and
support. And when everything
is settled, we just get
together and throw a party to return a
favor.
- Is your hometown a good place for
young people?
Definitely yes, my hometown is a
perfect place for young people to live
simply because my home town is less
competitive and stressful than big
cities, so young people may live a

Well, most of the people in rural areas
are farmers so I think they probably
enjoy doing farm work, you know, like
irrigating, gardening or plowing, etc.
To be honest, the last 20 years have
seen significant development in my
town. The frequent parks and open
spaces have been replaced by modern
buildings and commercial
establishments, more industries have
been established and people seem to
have a fast pace of life these days.

- Is there anything you don’t like about
your hometown?
Of course, I think I’d have to say that
I’m not so keen on the weather. To be
more precise, I really can’t stand the
summer months. This is due to the fact
that the temperatures can get as high as
40 degrees so it can be quite
uncomfortable if you don’t have air
conditioning in your house. In addition
to this, I’m not really that fond of the
environment in that place because
some citizens lack the awareness to
protect them.
