Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:
• Get familiar with variant of games and activities for different grade levels
• Perform these games and activities for different grade levels
• Demonstrate responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
• Develop a range of movement skills (e.g., stability, locomotion and manipulative),
concepts (e.g., body and spatial awareness) and strategies (e.g., rules and
boundaries, conventions of fair play) to acquire movement competence and
increased physical literacy
• Develop personal, interpersonal skills and use critical thinking and problem-solving
skills.
Physical Activity is a broad term referring to all bodily movement that uses energy. It
includes all forms of physical education, sports and dance activities. However, it is wider
than this, as it also includes indoor and outdoor play, work-related activity, outdoor and
adventurous activities, active travel (e. g. walking, cycling, rollerblading, scooting) and
routine, habitual activities such as using the stairs, doing housework and gardening.
