High Hopes Learning Center began as a small dream in the mind of Nicole a
passionate educator who wanted to create a safe and nurturing space for
young children to learn and grow. After years of working in various preschools
and childcare centers, She noticed that many of them were focused solely on
academic achievement rather than the holistic development of the child. She
knew there had to be a better way, and that's when the idea for High Hopes
was born. Nicole spent countless hours researching best practices in early
childhood education, studying child psychology, and networking with other
educators in the community. She knew that if she was going to build a truly
exceptional learning center, she needed to have a deep understanding of
what young children needed in order to thrive. With her vision firmly in mind,
Nicole set out to build High Hopes from the ground up. She began by
securing a small business loan and then started looking for the perfect
location. After months of searching, she found a beautiful piece of land on the
outskirts of town that was surrounded by trees and wildlife. It was the perfect
setting for her vision of a nature-based learning center. Next, Ms. Nicole hired
a team of dedicated educators who shared her passion for holistic education.

They worked together to design a curriculum that would focus on the whole
child, including their emotional, social, and physical development. As
construction on the building began, Ms. Nicole and her team continued to
refine the curriculum, bringing in outside experts and incorporating feedback
from parents and community members. When the building was complete, it
was a state-of-the-art facility that was designed with young children's needs
in mind. There were bright, airy classrooms with plenty of natural light, a
large outdoor play area. High Hopes Learning Center is a thriving community
of young learners, educators, and parents who are all dedicated to the vision
of holistic education. Ms. Nicole dream has become a reality, and her passion
for creating a better world through education continues to inspire others in
the field.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
High Hopes Learning Center's philosophy emphasizes the value of giving
learners the finest possible education while also emphasizing their role in
nation-building, which focuses on the growth of trust in themselves, faith in
God, dedication to oneself and others, and professional responsibility. In
order to maximize their learning potential, it is also considered that the
instructor and the students should collaborate with the family. It values each
student as a unique individual with their own interests, skills, and worldviews.
The school must also offer a secure learning environment where students are
able to explore several kinds of resources and gain experience appropriate to
their level. for them to engage fully and successfully learn. Thus, the
significance of the learning process and its relevance ought to be given the
greatest importance.

HIGH HOPES LEARNING CENTER located in the barangay of Cawacagan


Bato, in the Camarines Sur province. We prefer and selected this location
because of its accessibility from the highway and proximity to the barangay
hall, which houses a health center. Additionally, the property is owned by Ms.
Tricia Nicole Repatacodo, president of High Hopes Learning Center.

Subject Description

Number skills (NS)

Number skills are the ability to recognize and apply math concepts in all areas of life.

Numeracy skills involve understanding numbers, counting, measuring, etc.

Self-Health (SH)

This involves teaching them about personal hygiene, healthy eating habits, and maintaining

an active lifestyle. They learn about common health conditions that affect learners and how

to prevent and manage them. Additionally, they develop self-advocacy skills and learn to

communicate their health needs and concerns to educators, caregivers, and family

members. The aim is to empower learners to take responsibility for their own well-being and

improve their quality of life.

Social skills (SK)

This subject will give students knowledge on how to socialize with others by building and maintaining

healthy relationships with classmates, friends, family members, and acquaintances.

Subject Grading System

 The evaluation period consists of the three (3) "trimesters" or grading


periods. The final grade of each subject is determined by the average of
the three trimestral grades.

 The descriptive system of reporting is used for academic and non-


academic subjects, including Learning Behavior.

 The grading matrix for letter / descriptive equivalent is as follows:

95-100 E ( Excellent )

90-94 VG ( Very Good )

85-89 G ( Good )

80-84 S ( Satisfactory )

75-79 N ( Needs Improvement )

70-74 U ( Unsatisfactory )

The highest grade a student can earn in each subject is 100%, while the
lowest, as reflected in the Progress Report Form, is 70%. The passing grade
is 75%. Any grade from 70% to 74% is considered a failing grade.

Reporting Students' Performance

Performance of students is reported using a Progress Report Form given out


every trimester, three (3) weeks after the trimestral final exams. This
Progress Report Form gives the students and the parents the results of the
child's efforts in a trimester. There will be an attached acknowledgement slip
in every progress report form which must be returned with the parents'
signature three to seven days after distribution.
