WORK PERFORMED

1. Preparation of Annual Capital Budget proposals for the planned new construction and
maintenance activities of the company.
2. Optimization of water efficiency of new and existing building projects by introduction of
rainwater harvesting and the use of treated water from the effluent treatment plants for
irrigation and toilet flushing with necessary calculations to avoid discharging of
contaminated water to the environment.
3. Reduction of carbon footprint of the company with the introduction of new greeneries,
usage of common vehicles, usage of energy efficient fittings in electrical installations.
4. Handling of all Green related projects of the company as the Accredited Green
Professional (GBCSL) by providing necessary guidelines to achieve the desired green
rating (Platinum).

1. Involved in the construction of New showrooms, Refurbishment and Expansion projects of the
company in terms of preparation of building check lists, structural designing and site surveys.
2. Conducting annual building audits on structural and finishing work including preparation of audit
reports with necessary recommendations for improvements on possible structural failures and
defective finishes.
3. Optimization of structural designs received from the consultants by fulfilling the requirements
of the building codes (Ex: BS 8110, BS 5950 etc..,)to reduce the cost of construction and the
timeline.
4. Tender document preparations based on the nature of the work as per the BSR rates for the
year. calling for tenders with the company agreed timelines, technical advice to the contractors
who are bidding, evaluation of tenders compared with the Engineer’s estimation and the
capacities of vendors, conducting meetings for the final rate negotiations and awarding the
contracts.
5. Construction tracking using MS Project and MS Excel in terms of agreed time lines, quality and
the budget, preparation of change requests for the extra works for senior management
approval to address compulsory budget changes and revise the budget.

the setting out of tower/infrastructure buildings, reinforcement work inspection in order to make
sure the work is done as per the approved structural design, concrete work inspection with the
slump test and cube preparation to check the quality of concrete and advice if the w/c ratio is
high/low to maintain the proper workability of concrete.
