Objective:  Students should be able to read the familiar words big
and little
 Students should recognize letter Gg(uppercase and
lowercase letters )
 Students have to isolate and pronounce the initial ,
medial , and final sound in three-phoneme words
 Associate the word with its picture (girl , goat ,
glad ,grape ,hug ,fig ,Grace)
 Read and comprehend Grace and her Goat

 Papers , pencils , crayons , coloring pencils.

Brainstorming  What is the title of the story we took yesterday?


 How are you today ?
 Who is your best friend ?
Procedure  Write the date and weather on the whiteboard.
 watch video : Alphabets , months , days
 Show familiar words cards and read with students the
familiar words “big and small”
 Students will trace and write the letter Gg on a paper
using paint while they say the sound of the letter Gg.
 They have to draw a word with initial Gg.
 Students hay to recognize the letter sound in words
and tell whether it is in the beginning, middle, or end)
 We will read the words (girl , goat ,
glad ,grape ,hug ,fig ,Grace)
 We will read the Short story “Grace and Her
Goat”(echo and choral reading)
 I will emphasize the words taken and teach students
how to respond to reading and comprehend using the
following questions (with discussion starters): (MCQ)
1. What is the girl’s name ?
2. What does the girl have ?
3. How does the girl give the goat ?
Activities:  Let us go active : Students have to jump when
they hear words with the letter G .
 Students have to catch the flying letter G.
