1. Family Tree

DELGADO FAMILY
2. Enumerate and Explain briefly the importance and similarities of your
family and parents to Rizal's family and parents.

a. Parents are teaching the value of hospitality to their children:

Hospitality is the cornerstone of respect, and it is vital that parents instill this attitude in
their children so that they can grow up to be respectful and friendly members of society.
Parents are a blessing since they shape their children's personalities into admirable
people.

b. Giving love to children without spoiling them with material things:

In our family, our parents can provide for our needs and want but they do not spoil us
with When children are raised with an ethos of hospitality, they are more likely to
become respected, sociable adults who contribute positively to society. Parents are a
blessing because they mold their children into admirable adults.

c. Love of God and grateful at all times:

My parents instill in us the values of thankfulness and trust in God by setting a good
example. They show us how to become closer to God by learning to value the work of
others. We, like Rizal's ancestors, are God-fearing, family-oriented people.

d. Teaching the value of education:

My parents instilled in me and my siblings the value of an education and made it a top
priority. They wanted us to work hard, see the value in school, and get the excellent
education that we deserve, just like Rizal's parents did.

e. Being obedient and respectful to our parents, older siblings, and old folks; respect for
other people especially women:
As examples to follow, parents instill in us the importance of being obedient and
respectful. Like Rizal and his brother, we learn to treat others with respect and
obedience as we get older, just as they did to their parents and elders.
f. Strict parents in a good way
While my parents have their strict moments, they also allow us some freedom within
reason. They make sure we feel loved and have freedom, but we have to take
responsibility for our own actions.

g. Family oriented
Rizal's ties with his family members are warm and genuine. They prioritize their family
above all else. Our link is strong, much like the one I have with my own family. My
parents raised me to value family above all else.

h. love for freedom and justice:

My parents have taught my siblings and me about our human rights, much as Rizal's
brother Paciano instilled in him a love for freedom and justice.

i. Having noble conduct and love for fellowmen:

As Rizal was molded by his parents to always do good. My parents also taught and
reminds us about karma - Do unto others what you want to do unto you; have good
conduct; clean conscience and upright thinking.

j. Charity:
My parents always remind us to always share especially with other people who are in
need whenever possible because it shows how we love God and our fellowmen in the
name of God.
