How does the energy systems work in dance? (Explain)

- When we talk about energy, we're talking about the mechanics of movement. Choices

about energy include things like changing the speed at which you move and how much

power, tension, and weight you employ. All dances employ energy, even if it's slow, supple,

indirect energy rather than the snappy, high-speed energy of a fast tempo dance.

Activity # 2

CHECKING YOUR UNDERSTANDING

1. An energy system that uses oxygen is called Aerobic Energy System

2. ATP-CP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate
3. There are three energy systems namely Immediate, Glycolytic system, and Oxidative
system.
4. Food serves as the Fuel to provide the energy that our body needs
5. Lactic Acid occurs when our body is working hard.
6. Weightlifting and shot-put are examples of Immediate Energy System energy system
7. Immediate energy system is also called as ATP-CP
8. Aerobic System is the most complex energy system
9. Oxidative System is the source of ATP during aerobic activities
10.Mitochondria are referred as the Powerhouse of the cell

REFLECTIVE LEARNING SHEET

1.) During this pandemic, how will you apply these energy systems with your day to day activities?

- Staying fit helps keep you physically healthy, but it also improves your mental and spiritual health. During a
pandemic, such as the coronavirus, it is important not to stop your fitness routine simply because you are unable to
access to the gym, attend an exercise class, or participate in an organized activity. There are numerous ways to get a
good workout at home, as well as numerous reasons why you should.

2.) How does one’s fitness play a significant role in the challenges of daily living?

- Exercise helps to strengthen your heart and circulatory system. The increased blood flow raises your body's
oxygen levels. This reduces your chances of developing heart problems such as high cholesterol, coronary artery
disease, and a heart attack. Exercise on a regular basis can also help to lower your blood pressure and lipid levels.
