Leviticus Chapter 8 ‫ִּק ָרא‬

ְ ‫ַוי‬
:‫מֹשֶ ה לֵּאמֹר‬-‫א ַויְדַ בֵּ ר יְהוָה ֶאל‬ 1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses,
saying:
‫בָ נָיו ִאּתֹו‬-‫ ַאהֲ רֹן וְ ֶאת‬-‫ב ַקח ֶאת‬ 2 'Take Aaron and his sons with him,
and the garments, and the anointing
‫וְ ֵּאת הַ בְ ג ִָדים וְ ֵּאת שֶ מֶ ן‬ oil, and the bullock of the sin-
‫הַ ִמ ְשחָ ה וְ ֵּאת פַר הַ חַ טָ את וְ ֵּאת‬ offering, and the two rams, and the
:‫ְשנֵּי הָ ֵּאילִים וְ ֵּאת סַ ל הַ מַ ּצֹות‬ basket of unleavened bread;

-‫הָ עֵּ דָ ה הַ ְקהֵּ ל ֶאל‬-‫ג וְ ֵּאת כָל‬ 3 and assemble thou all the
congregation at the door of the tent of
:‫פ ֶַתח אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד‬ meeting.'
‫ד ַויַעַ ׂש מֹשֶ ה כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה‬ 4 And Moses did as the LORD
commanded him; and the
‫פ ֶַתח‬-‫אתֹו ו ִַּת ָקהֵּ ל הָ עֵּ דָ ה ֶאל‬
ֹ congregation was assembled at the
:‫אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד‬ door of the tent of meeting.
‫הָ עֵּ דָ ה זֶה‬-‫ה וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 5 And Moses said unto the
congregation: 'This is the thing
:‫צִ וָה יְהוָה ַלעֲׂשֹות‬-‫הַ דָ בָ ר אֲ שֶ ר‬ which the LORD hath commanded to
be done.'
-‫ ַאהֲ רֹן וְ ֶאת‬-‫ו ַוי ְַק ֵּרב מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 6 And Moses brought Aaron and his
sons, and washed them with water.
:‫בָ נָיו ַוי ְִרחַ ץ א ָֹתם בַ מָ יִם‬
‫ּתנֶת ַוי ְַחגֹר‬ ֹ ‫הַ ֻּכ‬-‫ז ַוי ִֵּּתן עָ לָיו ֶאת‬ 7 And he put upon him the tunic, and
girded him with the girdle, and
-‫אֹתֹו בָ ַאבְ נֵּט ַו ַילְבֵּ ש אֹתֹו ֶאת‬ clothed him with the robe, and put
‫הָ ֵּאפֹד‬-‫הַ ְמעִ יל ַוי ִֵּּתן עָ לָיו ֶאת‬ the ephod upon him, and he girded
‫ַוי ְַחגֹר אֹתֹו בְ חֵּ שֶ ב הָ ֵּאפֹד ַוי ְֶאפֹד‬ him with the skilfully woven band of
the ephod, and bound it unto him
:‫לֹו בֹו‬ therewith.
‫הַ חֹשֶ ן ַוי ִֵּּתן‬-‫ח ַויָׂשֶ ם עָ לָיו ֶאת‬ 8 And he placed the breastplate upon
him; and in the breastplate he put the
-‫אורים וְ ֶאת‬ ִ ָ‫ה‬-‫הַ חֹשֶ ן ֶאת‬-‫ֶאל‬ Urim and the Thummim.
:‫הַ ּתֻּ ִמים‬
‫ר ֹאשֹו‬-‫הַ ִמצְ ֶנפֶת עַ ל‬-‫ט ַויָׂשֶ ם ֶאת‬ 9 And he set the mitre upon his head;
and upon the mitre, in front, did he
‫מול ָפנָיו‬-‫הַ ִמצְ ֶנפֶת ֶאל‬-‫ַויָׂשֶ ם עַ ל‬ set the golden plate, the holy crown;
‫ֵּאת צִ יץ הַ זָהָ ב ֵּנזֶר הַ קֹדֶ ש‬ as the LORD commanded Moses.
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה ֶאת‬
‫שֶ מֶ ן הַ ִמ ְשחָ ה‬-‫י ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 10 And Moses took the anointing oil,
and anointed the tabernacle and all
-‫כָל‬-‫הַ ִמ ְשכָן וְ ֶאת‬-‫ַוי ְִמשַ ח ֶאת‬ that was therein, and sanctified them.
:‫א ָתם‬ ֹ ‫בֹו ַוי ְַקדֵּ ש‬-‫אֲ שֶ ר‬
‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ שֶ בַ ע‬-‫יא ַויַז ִממֶ ּנו עַ ל‬ 11 And he sprinkled thereof upon the
altar seven times, and anointed the
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫פְ עָ ִמים ַוי ְִמשַ ח ֶאת‬ altar and all its vessels, and the laver
-‫הַ כִ יֹר וְ ֶאת‬-‫ ֵּכלָיו וְ ֶאת‬-‫כָל‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ and its base, to sanctify them.
:‫כַּנֹו ל ְַק ְדשָ ם‬
‫יב ַו ִיצֹק ִמשֶ מֶ ן הַ ִמ ְשחָ ה עַ ל‬ 12 And he poured of the anointing oil
upon Aaron's head, and anointed
‫ר ֹאש ַאהֲ רֹן ַוי ְִמשַ ח אֹתֹו‬ him, to sanctify him.
:‫ל ְַק ְדשֹו‬
‫בְ נֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן‬-‫יג ַוי ְַק ֵּרב מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 13 And Moses brought Aaron's sons,
and clothed them with tunics, and
‫ַו ַילְבִ שֵּ ם כֻּּתֳּ נֹת ַוי ְַחגֹר א ָֹתם‬ girded them with girdles, and bound
‫ַאבְ נֵּט ַויַחֲ בֹש לָהֶ ם ִמגְ בָ עֹות‬ head-tires upon them; as the LORD
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה ֶאת‬ commanded Moses.

‫יד ַו ַיגֵּש ֵּאת פַר הַ חַ טָ את ַוי ְִסמְֹך‬ 14 And the bullock of the sin-offering
was brought; and Aaron and his sons
-‫יְדֵּ יהֶ ם עַ ל‬-‫ַאהֲ רֹן ובָ נָיו ֶאת‬ laid their hands upon the head of the
:‫ר ֹאש פַר הַ חַ טָ את‬ bullock of the sin-offering.
‫הַ דָ ם‬-‫טו ַוי ְִשחָ ט ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 15 And when it was slain, Moses took
the blood, and put it upon the horns
‫ ַק ְרנֹות הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ סָ בִ יב‬-‫ַוי ִֵּּתן עַ ל‬ of the altar round about with his
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫בְ ֶאצְ בָ עֹו ַויְחַ טֵּ א ֶאת‬ finger, and purified the altar, and
‫יְסֹוד‬-‫הַ דָ ם יָצַ ק ֶאל‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ poured out the remaining blood at the
base of the altar, and sanctified it, to
:‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ ַוי ְַק ְדשֵּ הו ְל ַכפֵּר עָ לָיו‬ make atonement for it.
‫הַ חֵּ לֶב אֲ שֶ ר‬-‫כָל‬-‫טז ַוי ִַקח ֶאת‬ 16 And he took all the fat that was
upon the inwards, and the lobe of the
‫הַ ֶק ֶרב וְ ֵּאת י ֶֹת ֶרת הַ כָבֵּ ד‬-‫עַ ל‬ liver, and the two kidneys, and their
‫חֶ לְבְ הֶ ן‬-‫ ְש ֵּּתי הַ כְ ָליֹת וְ ֶאת‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ fat, and Moses made it smoke upon
:‫ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר מֹשֶ ה הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה‬ the altar.

-‫עֹרֹו וְ ֶאת‬-‫הַ פָר וְ ֶאת‬-‫יז וְ ֶאת‬ 17 But the bullock, and its skin, and
its flesh, and its dung, were burnt
‫פִ ְרשֹו ׂשָ ַרף בָ ֵּאש‬-‫בְ ׂשָ רֹו וְ ֶאת‬ with fire without the camp; as the
‫ִמחוץ לַמַ חֲ נֶה כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה‬ LORD commanded Moses.
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫ֶאת‬
 ‫יח ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֵּאת ֵּאיל הָ ֹעלָה‬ 18 And the ram of the burnt-offering
was presented; and Aaron and his
‫יְדֵּ יהֶ ם‬-‫ַוי ְִס ְמכו ַאהֲ רֹן ובָ נָיו ֶאת‬ sons laid their hands upon the head of
:‫ר ֹאש הָ ָאיִל‬-‫עַ ל‬ the ram.
-‫יט ַוי ְִשחָ ט ַויִזְ רֹק מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 19 And when it was killed, Moses
dashed the blood against the altar
:‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ סָ בִ יב‬-‫הַ דָ ם עַ ל‬ round about.
‫הָ ַאיִל נ ִַּתח ִלנ ְָתחָ יו‬-‫כ וְ ֶאת‬ 20 And when the ram was cut into its
pieces, Moses made the head, and the
-‫הָ ר ֹאש וְ ֶאת‬-‫ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ pieces, and the suet smoke.
:‫הַ פָדֶ ר‬-‫הַ ּנ ְָת ִחים וְ ֶאת‬
‫הַ כְ ָרעַ יִם‬-‫הַ ֶק ֶרב וְ ֶאת‬-‫כא וְ ֶאת‬ 21 And when the inwards and the
legs were washed with water, Moses
-‫ָרחַ ץ בַ מָ יִם ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ made the whole ram smoke upon the
‫הָ ַאיִל הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה ֹעלָה הוא‬-‫כָל‬ altar; it was a burnt-offering for a
‫נִיחֹחַ ִאשֶ ה הוא לַיהוָה‬- ַ‫ל ְֵּריח‬ sweet savour; it was an offering
made by fire unto the LORD; as the
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה ֶאת‬ LORD commanded Moses.
‫הָ ַאיִל הַ שֵּ נִי ֵּאיל‬-‫כב ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֶאת‬ 22 And the other ram was presented,
the ram of consecration, and Aaron
‫הַ ִמל ִֻּאים ַוי ְִס ְמכו ַאהֲ רֹן ובָ נָיו‬ and his sons laid their hands upon the
:‫ר ֹאש הָ ָאיִל‬-‫יְדֵּ יהֶ ם עַ ל‬-‫ֶאת‬ head of the ram.
‫כג ַוי ְִשחָ ט ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה ִמדָ מֹו‬ 23 And when it was slain, Moses took
of the blood thereof, and put it upon
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן‬-‫אזֶן‬ ֹ ‫ ְּתנוְך‬-‫ַוי ִֵּּתן עַ ל‬ the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon
‫בֹהֶ ן יָדֹו הַ יְמָ נִית‬-‫הַ יְמָ נִית וְ עַ ל‬ the thumb of his right hand, and upon
:‫בֹהֶ ן ַרגְ לֹו הַ יְמָ נִית‬-‫וְ עַ ל‬ the great toe of his right foot.

‫בְ נֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן ַוי ִֵּּתן‬-‫כד ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֶאת‬ 24 And Aaron's sons were brought,
and Moses put of the blood upon the
‫ ְּתנוְך ָאזְ נָם‬-‫הַ דָ ם עַ ל‬-‫מֹשֶ ה ִמן‬ tip of their right ear, and upon the
‫בֹהֶ ן יָדָ ם הַ יְמָ נִית‬-‫הַ יְמָ נִית וְ עַ ל‬ thumb of their right hand, and upon
‫בֹהֶ ן ַרגְ לָם הַ יְמָ נִית ַויִזְ ֹרק‬-‫וְ עַ ל‬ the great toe of their right foot; and
Moses dashed the blood against the
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫הַ דָ ם עַ ל‬-‫מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ altar round about.
:‫סָ בִ יב‬
-‫הַ חֵּ לֶב וְ ֶאת‬-‫כה ַוי ִַקח ֶאת‬ 25 And he took the fat, and the fat
tail, and all the fat that was upon the
‫הַ חֵּ לֶב אֲ שֶ ר‬-‫כָל‬-‫הָ ַא ְליָה וְ ֶאת‬ inwards, and the lobe of the liver, and
‫הַ ֶק ֶרב וְ ֵּאת י ֶֹת ֶרת הַ כָבֵּ ד‬-‫עַ ל‬ the two kidneys, and their fat, and the
‫חֶ לְבְ הֶ ן‬-‫ ְש ֵּּתי הַ כְ ָליֹת וְ ֶאת‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ right thigh.
:‫וְ ֵּאת שֹוק הַ י ִָמין‬
 ‫ומסַ ל הַ מַ ּצֹות אֲ שֶ ר לִפְ נֵּי‬ ִ ‫כו‬ 26 And out of the basket of
unleavened bread, that was before the
‫יְהוָה ל ַָקח חַ לַת מַ ּצָ ה ַאחַ ת‬ LORD, he took one unleavened cake,
‫וְ חַ לַת לֶחֶ ם שֶ מֶ ן ַאחַ ת וְ ָר ִקיק‬ and one cake of oiled bread, and one
‫הַ חֲ לָבִ ים וְ עַ ל‬-‫ֶאחָ ד ַויָׂשֶ ם עַ ל‬ wafer, and placed them on the fat,
and upon the right thigh.
:‫שֹוק הַ י ִָמין‬
‫הַ כֹל עַ ל ַכפֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן‬-‫כז ַוי ִֵּּתן ֶאת‬ 27 And he put the whole upon the
hands of Aaron, and upon the hands
‫וְ עַ ל ַכפֵּי בָ נָיו ַו ָינֶף א ָֹתם ְּתנופָה‬ of his sons, and waved them for a
:‫לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ wave-offering before the LORD.
‫כח ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה א ָֹתם מֵּ עַ ל‬ 28 And Moses took them from off
their hands, and made them smoke on
-‫ַכפֵּיהֶ ם ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה עַ ל‬ the altar upon the burnt-offering;
ַ‫הָ ֹעלָה ִמל ִֻּאים הֵּ ם ל ְֵּריחַ נִיחֹח‬ they were a consecration-offering for
:‫ִאשֶ ה הוא לַיהוָה‬ a sweet savour; it was an offering
made by fire unto the LORD.
‫הֶ חָ זֶה‬-‫כט ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה ֶאת‬ 29 And Moses took the breast, and
waved it for a wave-offering before
‫ַו ְינִיפֵּהו ְתנופָה לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה מֵּ ֵּאיל‬ the LORD; it was Moses' portion of
‫הַ ִמל ִֻּאים ְלמֹשֶ ה הָ יָה לְמָ נָה‬ the ram of consecration; as the
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה ֶאת‬ LORD commanded Moses.

‫ל ַוי ִַקח מֹשֶ ה ִמשֶ מֶ ן הַ ִמ ְשחָ ה‬ 30 And Moses took of the anointing
oil, and of the blood which was upon
‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ ַויַז‬-‫הַ דָ ם אֲ שֶ ר עַ ל‬-‫ומן‬ ִ the altar, and sprinkled it upon
‫בָ נָיו‬-‫בְ גָדָ יו וְ עַ ל‬-‫ ַאהֲ רֹן עַ ל‬-‫עַ ל‬ Aaron, and upon his garments, and
-‫בִ גְ דֵּ י בָ נָיו ִאּתֹו ַוי ְַקדֵּ ש ֶאת‬-‫וְ עַ ל‬ upon his sons, and upon his sons'
garments with him, and sanctified
‫בָ נָיו‬-‫בְ גָדָ יו וְ ֶאת‬-‫ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאת‬ Aaron, and his garments, and his
:‫בִ גְ דֵּ י בָ נָיו ִאּתֹו‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ sons, and his sons' garments with
him.
-‫ ַאהֲ רֹן וְ ֶאל‬-‫לא וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to
his sons: 'Boil the flesh at the door of
‫הַ בָ ׂשָ ר פ ֶַתח אֹהֶ ל‬-‫בָ נָיו בַ ְשלו ֶאת‬ the tent of meeting; and there eat it
-‫מֹועֵּ ד וְ שָ ם ּת ֹאכְ לו אֹתֹו וְ ֶאת‬ and the bread that is in the basket of
‫הַ לֶחֶ ם אֲ שֶ ר בְ סַ ל הַ ִמל ִֻּאים‬ consecration, as I commanded,
saying: Aaron and his sons shall eat
‫ֵּיתי לֵּאמֹר ַאהֲ רֹן ובָ נָיו‬ ִ ‫כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ ו‬ it.
:‫י ֹאכְ לֻּהו‬
‫ּנֹותר בַ בָ ׂשָ ר ובַ לָחֶ ם בָ ֵּאש‬
ָ ַ‫לב וְ ה‬ 32 And that which remaineth of the
flesh and of the bread shall ye burn
:‫ִּת ְׂשרֹפו‬ with fire.
‫ומפ ֶַתח אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד ל ֹא ֵּתצְ או‬ ִ ‫לג‬ 33 And ye shall not go out from the
door of the tent of meeting seven
‫ִשבְ עַ ת י ִָמים עַ ד יֹום ְמל ֹאת יְמֵּ י‬ days, until the days of your
‫ִמל ֵֻּּאיכֶם כִ י ִשבְ עַ ת י ִָמים יְמַ לֵּא‬ consecration be fulfilled; for He shall
:‫י ְֶדכֶם‬-‫ֶאת‬ consecrate you seven days.

‫לד כַאֲ שֶ ר עָ ׂשָ ה בַ יֹום הַ זֶה צִ וָה‬ 34 As hath been done this day, so the
LORD hath commanded to do, to
:‫יְהוָה ַל ֲעׂשֹת ְל ַכפֵּר ֲעלֵּיכֶם‬ make atonement for you.
‫לה ופ ֶַתח אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד ֵּּת ְשבו‬ 35 And at the door of the tent of
meeting shall ye abide day and night
‫יֹומָ ם ָו ַל ְילָה ִשבְ עַ ת י ִָמים‬ seven days, and keep the charge of
‫ ִמ ְשמֶ ֶרת יְהוָה‬-‫ושמַ ְר ֶּתם ֶאת‬ ְ the LORD, that ye die not; for so I
:‫ֵּיתי‬
ִ ‫כֵּן ֻּצו‬-‫וְ ל ֹא ָתמותו כִ י‬ am commanded.

-‫לו ַויַעַ ׂש ַאהֲ רֹן ובָ נָיו ֵּאת כָל‬ 36 And Aaron and his sons did all the
things which the LORD commanded
-‫צִ וָה יְהוָה בְ יַד‬-‫הַ ְדבָ ִרים אֲ שֶ ר‬ by the hand of Moses. {S}

Leviticus Chapter 9 ‫ִּק ָרא‬

ְ ‫ַוי‬
‫א ַוי ְִהי בַ יֹום הַ ְש ִמינִי ָק ָרא מֹשֶ ה‬ 1 And it came to pass on the eighth
day, that Moses called Aaron and his
:‫ל ְַאהֲ רֹן ולְבָ נָיו ולְזִ ְקנֵּי י ְִׂש ָר ֵּאל‬ sons, and the elders of Israel;
‫לְָך עֵּ גֶל‬-‫ ַאהֲ רֹן ַקח‬-‫ב וַי ֹאמֶ ר ֶאל‬ 2 and he said unto Aaron: 'Take thee
a bull-calf for a sin-offering, and a
‫בָ ָקר לְחַ טָ את וְ ַאיִל ְל ֹעלָה‬-‫בֶ ן‬ ram for a burnt-offering, without
:‫ימם וְ הַ ְק ֵּרב לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬
ִ ‫ְּת ִמ‬ blemish, and offer them before the
LORD.
‫בְ נֵּי י ְִׂש ָר ֵּאל ְּתדַ בֵּ ר לֵּאמֹר‬-‫ג וְ ֶאל‬ 3 And unto the children of Israel thou
shalt speak, saying: Take ye a he-
‫עִ זִ ים לְחַ טָ את וְ עֵּ גֶל‬-‫ְקחו ְׂשעִ יר‬ goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and
:‫ימם ְל ֹעלָה‬ ִ ‫שָ נָה ְּת ִמ‬-‫ָוכֶבֶ ׂש בְ נֵּי‬ a lamb, both of the first year, without
blemish, for a burnt-offering;
ַ‫ד וְ שֹור ו ַָאיִל ל ְִשל ִָמים לִזְ בֹח‬ 4 and an ox and a ram for peace-
offerings, to sacrifice before the
‫ומנְחָ ה בְ לולָה בַ שָ מֶ ן‬ ִ ‫לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ LORD; and a meal-offering mingled
:‫כִ י הַ יֹום יְהוָה נ ְִר ָאה אֲ לֵּיכֶם‬ with oil; for to-day the LORD
appeareth unto you.'
 ‫ה ַוי ְִקחו ֵּאת אֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה מֹשֶ ה‬ 5 And they brought that which Moses
commanded before the tent of
-‫פְ נֵּי אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד ַוי ְִק ְרבו כָל‬-‫ֶאל‬ meeting; and all the congregation
:‫הָ עֵּ דָ ה ַויַעַ ְמדו לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ drew near and stood before the
LORD.
-‫ו וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה זֶה הַ דָ בָ ר אֲ שֶ ר‬ 6 And Moses said: 'This is the thing
which the LORD commanded that ye
‫צִ וָה יְהוָה ַּתעֲׂשו וְ י ֵָּרא אֲ לֵּיכֶם‬ should do; that the glory of the
:‫כְ בֹוד יְהוָה‬ LORD may appear unto you.'
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן ְק ַרב‬-‫ז וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 7 And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Draw
near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-
‫אתָך‬
ְ ָ‫חַ ט‬-‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ ַועֲׂשֵּ ה ֶאת‬-‫ֶאל‬ offering, and thy burnt-offering, and
‫ ֹעל ֶָתָך וְ ַכפֵּר בַ עַ ְדָך ובְ עַ ד‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ make atonement for thyself, and for
‫ ָק ְרבַ ן הָ עָ ם‬-‫הָ עָ ם ַועֲׂשֵּ ה ֶאת‬ the people; and present the offering
of the people, and make atonement
:‫וְ ַכ ֵּפר בַ עֲדָ ם כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה יְהוָה‬ for them; as the LORD commanded.'
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫ח ַוי ְִק ַרב ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאל‬ 8 So Aaron drew near unto the altar,
and slew the calf of the sin-offering,
-‫עֵּ גֶל הַ חַ טָ את אֲ שֶ ר‬-‫ַוי ְִשחַ ט ֶאת‬ which was for himself.
:‫לֹו‬
‫הַ דָ ם‬-‫ט ַוי ְַק ִרבו בְ נֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאת‬ 9 And the sons of Aaron presented
the blood unto him; and he dipped
‫ֵּאלָיו ַוי ְִטבֹל ֶאצְ בָ עֹו בַ דָ ם ַוי ִֵּּתן‬ his finger in the blood, and put it
‫הַ דָ ם‬-‫ ַק ְרנֹות הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ וְ ֶאת‬-‫עַ ל‬ upon the horns of the altar, and
: ַ‫יְסֹוד הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫יָצַ ק ֶאל‬ poured out the blood at the base of
the altar.
-‫הַ כְ ָליֹת וְ ֶאת‬-‫הַ חֵּ לֶב וְ ֶאת‬-‫י וְ ֶאת‬ 10 But the fat, and the kidneys, and
the lobe of the liver of the sin-
‫הַ חַ טָ את‬-‫הַ כָבֵּ ד ִמן‬-‫הַ י ֶֹת ֶרת ִמן‬ offering, he made smoke upon the
‫ִה ְק ִטיר הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה‬ altar; as the LORD commanded
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫יְהוָה ֶאת‬ Moses.

‫הָ עֹור ׂשָ ַרף‬-‫הַ בָ ׂשָ ר וְ ֶאת‬-‫יא וְ ֶאת‬ 11 And the flesh and the skin were
burnt with fire without the camp.
:‫בָ ֵּאש ִמחוץ לַמַ חֲ נֶה‬
‫הָ ֹעלָה ַוי ְַמצִ או‬-‫יב ַוי ְִשחַ ט ֶאת‬ 12 And he slew the burnt-offering;
and Aaron's sons delivered unto him
‫הַ דָ ם‬-‫בְ נֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן ֵּאלָיו ֶאת‬ the blood, and he dashed it against
:‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ סָ בִ יב‬-‫ַויִזְ ְר ֵּקהו עַ ל‬ the altar round about.
‫הָ ֹעלָה ִה ְמצִ יאו ֵּאלָיו‬-‫יג וְ ֶאת‬ 13 And they delivered the burnt-
offering unto him, piece by piece,
‫הָ ר ֹאש ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר‬-‫ִלנ ְָתחֶ יהָ וְ ֶאת‬ and the head; and he made them
: ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫עַ ל‬ smoke upon the altar.
 -‫הַ ֶק ֶרב וְ ֶאת‬-‫יד ַוי ְִרחַ ץ ֶאת‬
‫הָ ֹעלָה‬-‫הַ כְ ָרעָ יִם ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר עַ ל‬
:‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה‬
‫טו ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֵּאת ָק ְרבַ ן הָ עָ ם ַוי ִַקח‬
‫ ְׂשעִ יר הַ חַ טָ את אֲ שֶ ר לָעָ ם‬-‫ֶאת‬
:‫ַוי ְִשחָ טֵּ הו ַויְחַ ְט ֵּאהו כ ִָראשֹון‬
ָ‫הָ ֹעלָה ַו ַיעֲׂשֶ ה‬-‫טז ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֶאת‬
:‫כ ִַמ ְשפָט‬
‫הַ ִמנְחָ ה ַויְמַ לֵּא‬-‫יז ַוי ְַק ֵּרב ֶאת‬
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫כַפֹו ִממֶ ּנָה ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר עַ ל‬
:‫ִמלְבַ ד ֹעלַת הַ ב ֶֹקר‬
-‫הַ שֹור וְ ֶאת‬-‫יח ַוי ְִשחַ ט ֶאת‬
‫הָ ַאיִל זֶבַ ח הַ ְשל ִָמים אֲ שֶ ר לָעָ ם‬
‫הַ דָ ם‬-‫ַוי ְַמצִ או בְ נֵּי ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאת‬
ַ‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ ח‬-‫ֵּאלָיו ַויִזְ ְר ֵּקהו עַ ל‬
:‫סָ בִ יב‬
‫הַ שֹור‬-‫הַ חֲ לָבִ ים ִמן‬-‫יט וְ ֶאת‬
‫הָ ַאיִל הָ ַא ְליָה וְ הַ ְמכַסֶ ה‬-‫ומן‬
:‫וְ הַ כְ ָליֹת וְ י ֶֹת ֶרת הַ כָבֵּ ד‬
-‫הַ חֲ לָבִ ים עַ ל‬-‫כ ַוי ִָׂשימו ֶאת‬
‫הֶ חָ זֹות ַוי ְַקטֵּ ר הַ חֲ לָבִ ים‬
:‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חָ ה‬
‫כא וְ ֵּאת הֶ חָ זֹות וְ ֵּאת שֹוק‬
‫הַ י ִָמין הֵּ נִיף ַאהֲ רֹן ְּתנופָה לִפְ נֵּי‬
:‫יְהוָה כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ וָה מֹשֶ ה‬
-‫יָדָ ו ֶאל‬-‫כב ַויִשָ א ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאת‬
‫הָ עָ ם ַויְבָ ְרכֵּם ַוי ֵֶּרד מֵּ ֲעׂשֹת‬
:‫הַ חַ טָ את וְ הָ ֹעלָה וְ הַ ְשל ִָמים‬
14 And he washed the inwards and
the legs, and made them smoke upon
the burnt-offering on the altar.
15 And the people's offering was
presented; and he took the goat of the
sin-offering which was for the
people, and slew it, and offered it for
sin, as the first.
16 And the burnt-offering was
presented; and he offered it
according to the ordinance.
17 And the meal-offering was
presented; and he filled his hand
therefrom, and made it smoke upon
the altar, besides the burnt-offering
of the morning.
18 He slew also the ox and the ram,
the sacrifice of peace-offerings,
which was for the people; and
Aaron's sons delivered unto him the
blood, and he dashed it against the
altar round about,
19 and the fat of the ox, and of the
ram, the fat tail, and that which
ִ covereth the inwards, and the
kidneys, and the lobe of the liver.
20 And they put the fat upon the
breasts, and he made the fat smoke
upon the altar.
21 And the breasts and the right thigh
Aaron waved for a wave-offering
before the LORD; as Moses
commanded.
22 And Aaron lifted up his hands
toward the people, and blessed them;
and he came down from offering the
sin-offering, and the burnt-offering,
and the peace-offerings.
 ‫אֹהֶ ל‬-‫כג ַויָב ֹא מֹשֶ ה וְ ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאל‬ 23 And Moses and Aaron went into
the tent of meeting, and came out,
‫הָ עָ ם‬-‫מֹועֵּ ד ַויֵּצְ או ַויְבָ ְרכו ֶאת‬ and blessed the people; and the glory
:‫הָ עָ ם‬-‫כָל‬-‫יְהוָה ֶאל‬-‫ַוי ֵָּרא כְ בֹוד‬ of the LORD appeared unto all the
people.
‫כד ו ֵַּּתצֵּ א ֵּאש ִמלִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ 24 And there came forth fire from
before the LORD, and consumed
‫הָ ֹעלָה‬-‫הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ ֶאת‬-‫וַּת ֹאכַל עַ ל‬ upon the altar the burnt-offering and
‫הָ עָ ם‬-‫הַ חֲ לָבִ ים ַוי ְַרא כָל‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ the fat; and when all the people saw
:‫פְ נֵּיהֶ ם‬-‫ַו ָירֹּנו ַויִפְ לו עַ ל‬ it, they shouted, and fell on their
faces.

Leviticus Chapter 10 ‫ִּק ָרא‬

ְ ‫ַוי‬
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן נָדָ ב‬-‫א ַוי ְִקחו בְ נֵּי‬ 1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of
Aaron, took each of them his censer,
‫וַאֲ בִ יהוא ִאיש מַ ְח ָּתתֹו ַוי ְִּתנו‬ and put fire therein, and laid incense
‫בָ הֵּ ן ֵּאש ַוי ִָׂשימו עָ לֶיהָ ְקט ֶֹרת‬ thereon, and offered strange fire
‫ַוי ְַק ִריבו לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה ֵּאש ז ָָרה‬ before the LORD, which He had not
commanded them.
:‫אֲ שֶ ר ל ֹא צִ וָה א ָֹתם‬
‫ב ו ֵַּּתצֵּ א ֵּאש ִמלִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ 2 And there came forth fire from
before the LORD, and devoured
‫אֹותם ַויָמֻּ תו לִפְ נֵּי‬
ָ ‫וַּת ֹאכַל‬ them, and they died before the
:‫יְהוָה‬ LORD.
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן הוא‬-‫ג וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 3 Then Moses said unto Aaron: 'This
is it that the LORD spoke, saying:
‫ ִדבֶ ר יְהוָה לֵּאמֹר בִ ְקרֹבַ י‬-‫אֲ שֶ ר‬ Through them that are nigh unto Me I
‫הָ עָ ם ֶאכָבֵּ ד‬-‫פְ נֵּי כָל‬-‫ֶא ָקדֵּ ש וְ עַ ל‬ will be sanctified, and before all the
:‫ַו ִידֹם ַאהֲ רֹן‬ people I will be glorified.' And Aaron
held his peace.
‫ ִמישָ ֵּאל וְ ֶאל‬-‫ד ַוי ְִק ָרא מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 4 And Moses called Mishael and
Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the
‫יאל דֹד ַאהֲ רֹן‬ ֵּ ִ‫ֶאלְצָ פָן בְ נֵּי עֻּז‬ uncle of Aaron, and said unto them:
-‫וַי ֹאמֶ ר אֲ לֵּהֶ ם ִק ְרבו ְׂשאו ֶאת‬ 'Draw near, carry your brethren from
-‫הַ קֹדֶ ש ֶאל‬-‫אֲ חֵּ יכֶם מֵּ ֵּאת פְ נֵּי‬ before the sanctuary out of the camp.'
:‫ִמחוץ לַמַ חֲ נֶה‬
-‫ה ַוי ְִק ְרבו ַויִשָ אֻּ ם בְ כֻּּתֳּ נ ָֹתם ֶאל‬ 5 So they drew near, and carried them
in their tunics out of the camp, as
‫ִמחוץ לַמַ חֲ נֶה כַאֲ שֶ ר ִדבֶ ר‬ Moses had said.
:‫מֹשֶ ה‬
 ‫ ַאהֲ רֹן‬-‫ו וַי ֹאמֶ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and
unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his
‫יתמָ ר בָ נָיו‬ ָ ‫ול ְֶאלְעָ זָר ול ְִא‬ sons: 'Let not the hair of your heads
‫ ִּתפְ ָרעו ובִ גְ דֵּ יכֶם‬-‫ָראשֵּ יכֶם ַאל‬ go loose, neither rend your clothes,
-‫ ִתפְ רֹמו וְ ל ֹא ָתמֻּ תו וְ עַ ל כָל‬-‫ל ֹא‬ that ye die not, and that He be not
wroth with all the congregation; but
‫בֵּ ית‬-‫הָ עֵּ דָ ה י ְִקצֹף וַאֲ חֵּ יכֶם כָל‬ let your brethren, the whole house of
‫הַ ְש ֵּרפָה אֲ שֶ ר‬-‫י ְִׂש ָר ֵּאל יִבְ כו ֶאת‬ Israel, bewail the burning which the
LORD hath kindled.
:‫ׂשָ ַרף יְהוָה‬
‫ומפ ֶַתח אֹהֶ ל מֹועֵּ ד ל ֹא ֵּתצְ או‬ ִ ‫ז‬ 7 And ye shall not go out from the
door of the tent of meeting, lest ye
‫שֶ מֶ ן ִמ ְשחַ ת יְהוָה‬-‫ ָּתמֻּ תו כִ י‬-‫פֶן‬ die; for the anointing oil of the
}‫ {פ‬:‫ֲעלֵּיכֶם ַו ַיעֲׂשו כִ ְדבַ ר מֹשֶ ה‬ LORD is upon you.' And they did
according to the word of Moses. {P}
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן‬-‫ח ַויְדַ בֵּ ר יְהוָה ֶאל‬ 8 And the LORD spoke unto Aaron,
saying:
:‫לֵּאמֹר‬
‫ ֵּּת ְש ְּת ַא ָּתה‬-‫ט ַייִן וְ שֵּ כָר ַאל‬ 9 'Drink no wine nor strong drink,
thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye
‫אֹהֶ ל‬-‫ובָ נֶיָך ִא ָּתְך בְ בֹאֲ כֶם ֶאל‬ go into the tent of meeting, that ye
‫מֹועֵּ ד וְ ל ֹא ָתמֻּ תו חֻּ ַקת עֹולָם‬ die not; it shall be a statute forever
:‫ְל ֹדר ֵֹּתיכֶם‬ throughout your generations.

‫י ולְהַ בְ ִדיל בֵּ ין הַ קֹדֶ ש ובֵּ ין הַ חֹל‬ 10 And that ye may put difference
between the holy and the common,
:‫ובֵּ ין הַ טָ מֵּ א ובֵּ ין הַ טָ הֹור‬ and between the unclean and the
clean;
‫בְ נֵּי י ְִׂש ָר ֵּאל ֵּאת‬-‫יא ולְהֹורֹת ֶאת‬ 11 and that ye may teach the children
of Israel all the statutes which the
‫הַ חֻּ ִקים אֲ שֶ ר ִדבֶ ר יְהוָה‬-‫כָל‬ LORD hath spoken unto them by the
}‫ {פ‬:‫מֹשֶ ה‬-‫אֲ לֵּיהֶ ם בְ יַד‬ hand of Moses.' {P}
‫ ַאהֲ רֹן וְ ֶאל‬-‫יב ַויְדַ בֵּ ר מֹשֶ ה ֶאל‬ 12 And Moses spoke unto Aaron, and
unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his
‫יתמָ ר בָ נָיו‬ ָ ‫ ִא‬-‫ֶאלְעָ זָר וְ ֶאל‬ sons that were left: 'Take the meal-
‫הַ ִמנְחָ ה‬-‫ּנֹות ִרים ְקחו ֶאת‬ ָ ַ‫ה‬ offering that remaineth of the
ָ‫ּנֹות ֶרת מֵּ ִאשֵּ י יְהוָה וְ ִאכְ לוה‬
ֶ ַ‫ה‬ offerings of the LORD made by fire,
and eat it without leaven beside the
‫מַ ּצֹות ֵּאצֶ ל הַ ִמזְ בֵּ חַ כִ י קֹדֶ ש‬ altar; for it is most holy.
:‫ָקדָ ִשים ִהוא‬
‫יג וַאֲ ַכל ְֶּתם א ָֹתּה בְ מָ קֹום ָקדֹוש‬ 13 And ye shall eat it in a holy place,
because it is thy due, and thy sons'
‫בָ נֶיָך ִהוא מֵּ ִאשֵּ י‬-‫כִ י חָ ְקָך וְ חָ ק‬ due, of the offerings of the LORD
:‫ֵּיתי‬
ִ ‫כֵּן ֻּצו‬-‫יְהוָה כִ י‬ made by fire; for so I am
commanded.
‫יד וְ ֵּאת חֲ זֵּה הַ ְּתנופָה וְ ֵּאת שֹוק‬ 14 And the breast of waving and the
thigh of heaving shall ye eat in a
‫הַ ְּתרומָ ה ּת ֹאכְ לו בְ מָ קֹום טָ הֹור‬ clean place; thou, and thy sons, and
-‫ַא ָּתה ובָ נֶיָך ובְ נ ֶֹתיָך ִא ָּתְך כִ י‬ thy daughters with thee; for they are
‫בָ נֶיָך נ ְִּתנו ִמזִ בְ חֵּ י‬-‫חָ ְקָך וְ חָ ק‬ given as thy due, and thy sons' due,
out of the sacrifices of the peace-
:‫שַ לְמֵּ י בְ נֵּי י ְִׂש ָר ֵּאל‬ offerings of the children of Israel.
‫טו שֹוק הַ ְּתרומָ ה וַחֲ זֵּה הַ ְּתנופָה‬ 15 The thigh of heaving and the
breast of waving shall they bring
‫עַ ל ִאשֵּ י הַ חֲ לָבִ ים יָבִ יאו לְהָ נִיף‬ with the offerings of the fat made by
‫ְּתנופָה לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה וְ הָ יָה לְָך‬ fire, to wave it for a wave-offering
‫עֹולָם כַאֲ שֶ ר‬-‫ולְבָ נֶיָך ִא ְּתָך לְחָ ק‬ before the LORD; and it shall be
thine, and thy sons' with thee, as a
:‫צִ וָה יְהוָה‬ due for ever; as the LORD hath
commanded.'
‫טז וְ ֵּאת ְׂשעִ יר הַ חַ טָ את דָ רֹש‬ 16 And Moses diligently inquired for
the goat of the sin-offering, and,
‫דָ ַרש מֹשֶ ה וְ ִהּנֵּה ׂש ָֹרף ַוי ְִקצֹף‬ behold, it was burnt; and he was
‫יתמָ ר בְ נֵּי‬
ָ ‫ ִא‬-‫ ֶאלְעָ זָר וְ עַ ל‬-‫עַ ל‬ angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar,
:‫ּנֹות ִרם לֵּאמֹר‬ ָ ַ‫ַאהֲ רֹן ה‬ the sons of Aaron that were left,
saying:
-‫אֲ ַכל ְֶּתם ֶאת‬-‫יז מַ דועַ ל ֹא‬ 17 'Wherefore have ye not eaten the
sin-offering in the place of the
‫הַ חַ טָ את בִ ְמקֹום הַ קֹדֶ ש כִ י‬ sanctuary, seeing it is most holy, and
‫קֹדֶ ש ָקדָ ִשים ִהוא וְ א ָֹתּה נ ַָתן‬ He hath given it you to bear the
‫ ֲעוֹן הָ עֵּ דָ ה‬-‫ָלכֶם לָׂשֵּ את ֶאת‬ iniquity of the congregation, to make
atonement for them before the
:‫ְל ַכפֵּר ֲעלֵּיהֶ ם לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬ LORD?
-‫דָ מָ ּה ֶאל‬-‫הובָ א ֶאת‬-‫יח הֵּ ן ל ֹא‬ 18 Behold, the blood of it was not
brought into the sanctuary within; ye
‫הַ קֹדֶ ש פְ נִימָ ה ָאכֹול ּת ֹאכְ לו‬ should certainly have eaten it in the
:‫ֵּיתי‬ִ ‫א ָֹתּה בַ קֹדֶ ש כַאֲ שֶ ר צִ ו‬ sanctuary, as I commanded.'
‫מֹשֶ ה הֵּ ן‬-‫יט ַויְדַ בֵּ ר ַאהֲ רֹן ֶאל‬ 19 And Aaron spoke unto Moses:
'Behold, this day have they offered
‫אתם‬ ָ ָ‫חַ ט‬-‫הַ יֹום ִה ְק ִריבו ֶאת‬ their sin-offering and their burnt-
‫ ֹעל ָָתם לִפְ נֵּי יְהוָה‬-‫וְ ֶאת‬ offering before the LORD, and there
‫א ִתי כ ֵָּאלֶה וְ ָא ַכל ְִּתי‬ ֹ ‫ו ִַּת ְק ֶראנָה‬ have befallen me such things as
these; and if I had eaten the sin-
‫חַ טָ את הַ יֹום הַ יִיטַ ב בְ עֵּ ינֵּי‬ offering to-day, would it have been
:‫יְהוָה‬ well-pleasing in the sight of the
LORD?
‫ ַויִיטַ ב‬,‫כ ַוי ְִשמַ ע מֹשֶ ה‬ 20 And when Moses heard that, it
was well-pleasing in his sight. {P}
