Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that the furnace was picked on Ex-Works basis by SAIL and upon inspection carried out by
our engineer it was found to be in damaged condition.

After extensive inspection and diagnosis of the machine, a quotation of the spares (with breakup) was sent to yourself for the
insurance claim of damaged parts. Still, we have not heard any progress from your side regarding the processing of claim.

As a gesture of goodwill and support to SAIL, M/s Nabertherm have taken an initiative now and have agreed to arrange and
send the necessary spares as soon as possible and send a team of two technicians for the pending repair and installation job.

The visa formalities at Germany have been taking abnormally higher time to process, so a fixed time frame cannot be predicted
accurately as it is not in our hands. However, we are optimistic that M/s Nabertherm will be able to complete the repair and
commissioning work any time between June – August 2023.

Kindly acknowledge the same, as M/s Nabertherm want an assurance from your side that no LD clause should be applicable/
applied to in these circumstances.

Also kindly confirm that SAIL will process the order for the damaged parts as soon as you receive the insurance claim.
