Teams are seen from a functional viewpoint as social systems or entities made up of
interconnected and interdependent components, especially inputs, transformation processes, and
outputs. What I learned from being a member of team 1A is that effective teams are those that can
adapt to competition-intensive, fast-paced, and continuously changing environments. Overall,
our team had great communication skills, as shown in evidence 1B, where I helped to initiate the
Agility exercise, and the team responded positively. The process of communicating between two
or more persons is referred to as interpersonal communication. In this scenario, communication
entails the exchange of knowledge, sentiments, and meaning through both spoken and nonverbal
cues. And in this case interpersonal communication was used heavily within the agility exercise.
During a guest lecture with Hanieh, Smriti, and Aneri, Evidence 1C shows me attending this
guest lecture. I asked Hanieh for advice on completing the Agility exercise. She suggested that
we should be accommodating to our team members' schedules and commitments to improve
communication skills and chemistry within the team. I applied this concept in evidence 1D,
where the team was accommodating towards each other, resulting in our success.

In a Zoom meeting, I suggested that we assign questions based on our majors for the agility
exercise. I asked the team what questions we should assign to those who hadn't been allocated
yet, making sure everyone was comfortable with the allocations. This approach allowed
everyone to work on tasks that suited their strengths and weaknesses. In Evidence 1E it showed
me sharing my screen and talking with my other teammates in regards to the questions they
would like to do and Evidence 1F showing me engaging with the team members in regards to the
agility exercise. In order to accomplish a shared objective, CPS mandates that individuals
working in teams contribute their collective resources as well as their tactics. More than merely a
fundamental technique, collaborative problem-solving is a talent that all team members should
be able to do. Everyone did that in the zoom meeting , when I had made the Canva document in
order for everyone to upload their parts. However, a team member noticed that the format was
incorrect, and they sent a new Canva document.

In evidence 1G, I apologize for my mistake and applied Patrick Idquival's advice to build
relationships to allow the team to work more effectively.Schermerhorn et al. emphasize that
effective communication involves the alignment of the source's intended meaning and the
receiver's perceived meaning. In simpler terms, it is important to ensure that the message
conveyed is being interpreted accurately by the recipient. Therefore, it is crucial to provide
opportunities for both parties to ask questions and offer feedback, as these measures can enhance
the effectiveness of communication. On monday my team had a goal to finish a draft version of
the report by Monday and I started the draft but I didn't finish it and so my team members told
me that let get it all done by Tuesday Afternoon and I agree with them. Evidence 1H shows me
meeting with my team members on Monday afternoon.

Before the Tuesday class, my team members suggested that I make my assigned part look more
professional by adding spacing between paragraphs and graphics. In evidence 1I and 1J, it shows
my assigned part before the team feedback and after the team's feedback. Everyone got their
assigned parts for the Canva done by Tuesday afternoon. I had a discussion with Patrick and Tim
about building rapport and active listening and applying it to corporate which is shown in
evidence 1K of me asking that question toward Patrick and Tim. I learned the importance of
building rapport and having objectives to maintain team motivation. I applied this to our team
meeting, where everyone completed their individual parts by the end of the day, as shown in
evidence 1L. As a result of our team's collaborative efforts, we were able to finish the assignment
ahead of time and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great team and for the
valuable lessons learned throughout our collaboration.

In conclusion there were numerous of important skills that I had learn from this agility exercise
through reading the team work modules that were available in the MQBS3010 under the week 3-
7 tab and the importance of accommodating towards team members by Hanieh and the
importance of building rapport and having objective in order to maintain team motivation by
Patrick and Tim.
