Make it flow
Rewrite this passage, making it flow better by adding adverbials for time, place or manner,
such as: Just then, Inside, Running down the stairs and pronouns, such as: he, they, her.

Sunita put the letter in her bag. Sunita heard her mother coming up
the stairs. Sunita dashed down the ladder. She smiled at her mother
who suggested they went downstairs.
Sunita asked her mother about Grandpa. Her mother told Sunita
stories about making jigsaws. Sunita’s mom didn’t mention anything
to do with music. Sunita decided she would have to investigate the
mystery all on her own.

Next, discuss possible answers to your questions. Can you be


detectives and decide why no one knows about Grandpa’s
