Here is What We Are Working On This Week:

Math
● Our math lessons this week will focus on
more fraction multiplication number
stories, fractions and liquid measures,
and fractions and measurement.
● At the beginning of math each day,
students are either working on their
multiplication facts, a daily math practice
which reinforces past and current
concepts, word problems, or division.
Reading
● For literacy centers; students will be given
a contract of activities they are to
complete throughout the week.
● During guided reading this week, we will
read a short passage on Greek mythology
and do a related activity.

Social Studies Science

● Northeast Region. ● Invention convention.
● Northeast states and capitals. ● Mystery Science Mini Lesson

Writing Spelling
● Fractured Fairy Tales ● For spelling this week, students will need
● Fourth Grade Memory Book to sort the words into the following
categories: VC/CV (Doublet), VC/CV, and
V/CV
● Words: rabbit, tablet, robot, traffic, pilgrim,
vacant, common, Sunday, legal, fossil,
public, local, kitten, magnet, pilot, gossip,
napkin, lazy, lesson, velvet, music, follow,
problem, zebra, muffin, contest, open

Your child should continue to read at least 20 minutes a night and also practice their spelling words
for the week. There will be no formal homework this week.
