Year& Section: BTLEd 3 – Home Economics

I. Objectives
At the end of the activity, the learners are able to;
▪ identify basic embroidery stitches;
▪ apply different embroidery stiches in luncheon set;
▪ value the importance of studying embroidery
II. Description
A Luncheon Set is a dining table service. It is constructed of fabric and is used for a variety of
purposes, including protecting surfaces or tying flowers, in food service presentation, and as a head
covering or apparel.
III. Materials
▪ Katcha (for luncheon mat 40cm×30cm, napkin 30cm square and doily 25cm×25cm)
▪ Ruler
▪ Embroidery Needle
▪ Embroidery Threads of different colors
▪ Sewing Machine

IV. Procedures
1. Prepare your materials.

2. Sew the edges of the fabric or cloth you plan

to use..

3. Use either direct or indirect design transfer.

In my situation, I apply the direct technique,
in which I immediately trace the design onto
the fabric.

4. Embroider the design by the following

direction of the pattern.

5. To your doily, napkin, and mat, apply the

same embroidered luncheon set pattern.

6. Personalize! My last tip to successfully begin

an embroidery luncheon set is to not be
afraid to add your own personal touch!
