Alize Puffy – 21 skeins (7 honey-colored (310), 4 mink (530), 10

caramel (179)).
YarnArt Jeans or any other yarn with similar thickness (for eyes) –
white, blue, black. You can replace it with felt.
Filler – about 300-500 gr.

Required materials for pillow:

Alize Puffy Fine - 9 skeins (5 honey-colored (310), 4 milky-brown

Size of the finished rug

Diameter of a rug is about 75 cm without a head and paws. Length

with head 1 meter. Head height - 45 cm, head’s width from ear to ear -
60 cm.

The diameter of the pillow is about 40 cm, the length of the head is 65
cm. The height of the head is 30 cm, the width of the head from ear to
ear is 40 cm.

The size of the finished rug can be a little more or a little less due to
the fact that the loops are more or less fluffy depending on the party.

Baby mammoth’s body.

The body of the mammoth is 2 circles connected together. To make the

circles perfectly smooth, we will crochet them with the help of a
floating loop.
Floating loop is a 1st loop at the beginning of each row. Do this loop
only once at the beginning of each row.
For your comfort, mark the last loop of the rows with a marker.
Crochet the lower circle with the color that the bases of the hoofs will
be connected to, the upper one - brown and with the released loops. It
is better to start from the lower circle in order to connect the rugs with
the color of the upper circle.

Gather 6 sc in AR.
1st row. Make 6 inc. That is, crochet 2 sc in each loop. You should get
12 sc. Mark the last loop with a marker.
2nd row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the marker
to it. After this crochet 1 sc 1 inc – repeat this combination 6 times.
You should get 18 sc. Move the marker on the last loop of the row.
Similarly, we make increases in each subsequent rows.
Do it evenly. And do not forget before the combination (of the single
crochets and increments) at the beginning of the rows we crochet 1
additional sc and start counting from it.
3rd row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the marker
to it. After this crochet 2 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this combination 6
times. You should get 24 sc. Move the marker on the last loop of the
row.

4th row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the marker
to it. After this crochet 3 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this combination 6
times. You should get 30 sc. Move the marker on the last loop of the

10th row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the
marker to it. After this crochet 9 sc, make 1 inc.– repeat this

11th row. At the beginning of the row knit 1 sc and move the marker to
it. After this knit 10 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this combination 6 times.
You should get 72 sc. Move the marker on the last loop of the row.
12th row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the
marker to it. After this crochet 11 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this
combination 6 times. You should get 78 sc. Move the marker on the
last loop of the row.
13th row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the
marker to it. After this crochet 12 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this
combination 6 times. You should get 84 sc. Move the marker on the
last loop of the row.
14th row. At the beginning of the row crochet 1 sc and move the
marker to it. After this crochet 13 sc, make 1 inc. – repeat this

combination 6 times. You should get 90 sc. Move the marker on the
last loop of the row.

The first circle is ready. We cut off the thread, pass the tail through
the back wall of sc. of the the previous row, then pass it through the
last remaining loop. Pull a little to the left, sew the tail. Knit the
second circle with the released loops. At the end do not cut off the
working thread, it will connect 2 rugs.

The upper circle is larger than the lower one, since it is looser because
of the released loops. While strapping the top rug will cover the bottom
rug like a hat.

Front hooves of the mammoth.

Start crocheting with a dark skein (I used 530).

In AR gather 6 sc.
1st row. Make 6 inc. You should get 12 sc.
2nd row. Crochet 1 sc, make 1 inc. Repeat this combination 6 times.
You should get 18 sc.
Change the thread to light one (I used 310).
3rd row. Crochet the back wall of the sc of the previous row of 18 sc.
4th row. Crochet 1 sc, make 1 dec. Repeat this combination 6 times.
You should get 12 sc.
5th row. Just crochet 12 sc.
6th row. Crochet 3 sc, pass 1 loop (310 color) and change the thread
to 179 (photo 1), continue crocheting with 179 color (photo 2). crochet
2 sc with released loops (photo 3,4), leave a released loops, pass 1 loop
(179 color) (photo 5), change the thread to 310, continue crocheting
this sc with released loops with 310 color (photo 6), crochet 5 sc. In
this row 12 sc should remain.

Crochet the second ear in the same way as the first ear, but after 23

Crochet the lower lip.

In AR gather 6 sc., crochet 1 ch. And turn crocheting inside out. On

Recommendations for crocheting pillow.

Crochet a pillow according to the same scheme as the rug, only in both
parts of the body crochet 2 rows less, that is, we finish on the 12th
row, in each circle there should be 78 sc and all the details are
crocheted from Alize Puffy Fine.
Hooves crocheted only with 2 colors (310 and 329)
When 2 circles are connected, connect them in the same way as the
rug, but do not leave a big hole through which fill the body with
padding polyester (or with any other filling material), close the hole.
Sew all the details in the same way as in the rug, only the legs can be
completely filled with filler.

Eyes for the pillow (smaller version).

White part.

Gather a chain from 12 ch.

1st row. In the second loop from the hook crochet 2 sc, crocheting
turned on the left edge of the chain. Crochet 9 sc, each in a separate
hole. In the remaining loop crochet 4 sc, the crocheting turned on the
