Caution!
Protect the equipment against ingress of objects with harmful effects, such as conductive
object and water. Otherwise, short circuit may occur and damage the equipment!

l The AC input mode of the ZXDU88 S402 system is three-phase five-wire

(L1/L2/L3/N/PE). The AC input line voltage is 340 VAC to 420 VAC.
l A protection breaker should be mounted on each group of power supply wires outside
the equipment. In addition, the protection breakers should be easily accessible
simultaneously. The requirements for the breakers are as follows:
à The rate current should be 480 A or above.
à The rated voltage should be 420 V or below.
l The cross-sectional area of the protective earthing cable is at least 320 mm2.

1 Flange The rectifier has one flange with a screw installation hole on both left and
right sides respectively. Users can fix the rectifier onto a cabinet with screws.

2 Handle The rectifier has one handle on both left and right sides respectively. Users
need to use the handles when installing/uninstalling the rectifier.

3 Switch Push the switch upwards to unlock rectifier, while push the switch downwards
to lock the rectifier. Users need to use this switch when installing/uninstalling
the rectifier.

4 Shutter Air inlet of the built-in fan. It helps the rectifier dissipate heat. No obstacles
are allowed outside the ventilators.

5 LEDs Ten LEDs are used to display the current. Each LED represents 12 A output
current. Each time 12 A is increased, anther LED will be on from bottom to
top.

6 Status Four status indicators are used to indicate the work status of the rectifier.

7 QUY button When the rectifier is working in a power supply system equipped with central
supervision unit (CSU), after pressing this button, users can easily query
the running information and fault information of the rectifier, and change
its running parameters and ID in the parameter setting menu through the
LCD screen of the CSU.

8 Output socket Electrical output socket and signal output socket.

9 Ventilator Used for heat dissipation. No obstacles are allowed outside the ventilators.

3.6.2 Rectifier Indicators

The rectifier provides segment indicators and status indicators, as shown in Figure 3-10.

Figure 3-10 LEDs and Status Indicators

Output Current Description

The rectifier provides ten green segment indicators to display the output current. Each
segment indicator represents 12 A of the output current. In case of 12 A increase of the
output current, one more segment indicator will be on from bottom to top.
For example, when the current output of the rectifier is 25 A, the lowest two segment
indicators will be on and the others off.

Working Status Description

The rectifier provides four indicators to indicate its working status. Table 3-8 describes the
status of each indicator.

Chapter 7
System Operating Principles
Figure 7-1 shows the operating principles of the ZXDU88 S402 system.

Note:
The figure below only helps to understand the operating principles of the system. It is not
the reference for electrical connections

Figure 7-1 System Operating Principles

The components of the ZXDU88 S402 system are described as below:

l AC distribution rack (ZXDP03 T601 or ACDR in short): Inputs AC power and powers
the rectifiers.
l The rectifiers: Convert AC power from ACDR into DC power.
l DC distribution rack (ZXDP12 D252 or DCDR in short): Distributes DC power and
connects the batteries to the system.

ZXDU88 S402 Product Description

l Monitoring units: Provide functions such as signal sampling/conversion, information

collection/estimation and alarm functions. ACMU is the monitoring unit for ACDR,
DCMU for DCDR, and ECU (SMR Embedded Control Unit) for each rectifier. ACMU
and DCMU are connected to the centralized supervision unit (CSU) through RS485
inter-rack communication cables; and CSU is connected to the monitoring background
through the RS485 and RS232 interfaces.
