1.0 Scope
This document describes the procedure used for the load test of the 1/2ton jib cranes attached to the molding press and shows
the results obtained.

2.0 Procedure
1 - Measure the distance between the crane and floor at both ends.
2 - Lift 1000 lbs
3 - Wait for 5 min
4 - Measure the distance between the crane and floor at both ends.
5 - Compare results. If the deflection is higher than 1%. Abort and reject. If not, test with 125% of the crane capacity.
6 - Lift 1250 lbs
7 - Measure the distance between the crane and floor at both ends.
8 - Compare results. If the deflection is lower than 1%, approve

3.0 Results
3.1. South jib crane
- Brand: Spanco
- Capacity: ½ ton
- Span: 8’
- Pull/thrust: 2,590 lbs
- Distance between jib crane and floor: 101.5”
- Distance between jib crane and floor under load 100% capacity (1000 lbs): 101.5”
- Distance between jib crane and floor under load 125% capacity (1250 lbs): 101.5”

3.1. North jib crane

- Brand: Spanco
- Capacity: ½ ton
- Span: 8’
- Pull/thrust: 2,590 lbs
- Distance between jib crane and floor: 101.5”
- Distance between jib crane and floor under load 100% capacity (1000 lbs): 101.5”
- Distance between jib crane and floor under load 125% capacity (1250 lbs): 101.5”
- APPROVED!
