RULE BOOK
1. WRITTEN SUBMISSION

 The Team shall be allotted a side i.e. Petitioner/Respondent and will have to
prepare the Memorial of only that particular side.
 The Memorial must strictly adhere to the below mentioned Guidelines.
 The Softcopies of the Memorial has to be mandatorily submitted by 18th June,
2023 11:59 P.M. at inlr@thelawlearners.com with the Subject – ‘Submission of
Memorial by ‘TEAM CODE’ for IOMCC 2023’. No further extension shall be
provided, for any reason whatsoever.
 The Written Submission shall nowhere mention any particulars of the team, except
the Team Code. There must be no mention of Name, Contact number, Email id,
University name etc.

2. FORMAT OF MEMORIAL
 The Memorials shall consist of only the following sections:
1. Cover Page [mentioning the Team Code on the top right corner]
2. Table of Contents
3. List of Abbreviations
4. Index of Authorities
5. Statement of Jurisdiction
6. Statement of Facts
7. Issues Raised

MARKING SCHEME
50 % Marks are allocated to Memorials and 50 % to the Oral Presentations.
5. PENALTY
PENALTY MARKS DEDUCTION

Late Submission 4 Marks [Upto 12 Hours late]

Non Uniformity in Citation 0.25 Marks per Citation

Exceeding prescribed page limit 1.5 Mark per page

Plagiarism Upto 10 Marks

6. ROUNDS

1. There shall be 1 Preliminary Round on 24th June, 2023 i.e. Saturday via Pre
Recorded Video Formats. The Participants would have to Upload their pre
recorded video on the previous day of their scheduled rounds.

2. Both the sides shall be allowed a maximum of 12 Minutes to present their


Arguments.

3. At the end of Preliminary Round 1, the Top 8 Teams move to the Semi
Finals.

4. The draw of lots of the Quarter Finals shall take place on 25th June, 2023.
The Semi Finals round shall take place on 25th June i.e. Sunday.

5. The Top 2 Teams of the Semi Finals Round shall move in the Finals. The
Semi Finals shall take place on 25th June, 2023 i.e. Sunday post conduction of
the draw of lots.

6. The Finals shall be held between the Top 2 Teams of the Semi Finals, post
draw of lots, via Live Video Conferencing Session. Each team shall be allowed
15 Minutes to present their case, followed by a 5 Minute Rebuttal Round.

7. In case of a tie breaker, the Marks scored on the Memorial shall be accessed.

8. The team with the higher score in the Finals shall be declared as the Winner
of the Competition.

7. RESEARCHER TEST
1. The Researcher’s Test shall take place on 22nd June, 2023. The Researcher can
only take up the Test.
2. The Test shall comprise of 50 Questions, MCQ in nature.

8. MISCELLENEOUS
1. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any loss or slow Internet
Connection during the Competition. We request all the participants to arrange a
sound Internet Connection.
2. The Decision of the Judges shall be final with regard to the outcome of the
Rounds.
3. Participants may use any reference material while presenting their case.
4. The Organizers reserve the right to take any action against unethical, wrongful
or unprofessional conduct.
5. If there is any situation, not covered by the Rules, the decision of the Organizers
shall be final and binding.
6. The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules. However, due notice shall
be provided to all participating teams.
