TOPIC: The effects of the Jeepney phase-out

THE JEEPNEY PHASE-OUT'S EFFECTS ON COMMUTERS AND DRIVER

Jeepney is one of the most commonly used transportation in everyday life Resolution No.
44, dated February 28, 2023.Therefore, this study by highlighting how the phase out of
traditional jeepneys can affect both commuters and drivers.

Jeepney phase-out, it is a process whereas old vehicles are getting replaced with new and
modernized vehicles. There are numerous impacts of phasing out of traditional jepneys. Many
students and daily commuters find it difficult to keep their expenses in control, especially in the
face of inflation. Traditional jeepney drivers also suffer as a result of inflation, specifically on
their gasoline expenses, and the push for jeepney modernization, it may have an impact to their
sallary. The push of modernization can affect both commuters and traditional jeepney drivers
because of the higher expenses that they will spend, some traditional jeepney drivers could also
lose their current job. As a result, we conclude this study in order to enlighten and raise public
awareness about the consequences of the jeepney phase-out.

Therefore I conclude that if modernization continues, I/We want to express the experiences
of both consumers and drivers, as well as be the voice of those who want to speak out about
this issue.We also want to identify potential solutions that will reduce the burden on drivers
and commuters, such as providing good jobs for traditional jeepney drivers so that they can
support their families. Additionally, lowering the cost of transportation can be extremely
beneficial to commuters, particularly students.
