CHAPTER 3

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter primarily focuses on the discussion of the research methodologies that the researchers will
employ to compile the essential data and information for the entire study. The research design, sample,
data gathering, data processing, and statistical treatment are the elements that are specifically covered in
this chapter.

I. RESEARCH DESIGN
This study utilized survey research design a type of an experimental research where the study
focuses at the condition of The rate of senior high school Enrollees in horticulture the
purpose is to know the Rate of student enrolls S/Y 2015-2023.

II. POPULATION SAMPLE

This study determine the sample size using the slovins formula (n=N/1+Ne ) Colacling
national high school have a 152 respondent, the key informants of this study was determined
as show below

n=sample

N= population

e = margin of error (0.05)

n= N/1+Ne

n= 245/1+245(0.05)

n= 245/1+245(0.0025)

n= 245/1+0.6125

=245/1.6125

=151.93 or 152 respondent

The sampling research that research utilized was stratified random sampling technique, ere
respondent are group according to all grade 10.

III. RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

The researchers use a type of survey checklist to gathered data that are significant interpret
and evaluate the rate of senior high schoo lstudent. That enroll in horticulture at Colacling
national high school.
The type of survey questionnaire that we use are closed ended item, its does not allow the
respondent to respond on there own word or opinion.

IV. VALIDATION OF THE PROCEDURE

Validity of the instrument was the determine as present in table 1 it include the critetion
numerical rating and objective rating. It also present the appropriateness of content related to
rate of Senior high school enrollees in horticulture at Colacling national high school. It
gleaned from the same table that had a mean rating of
By choosing trustworthy validator to formally certify the studies questionnaire, the validity
will be verified. Since they are more pertinent and have more suggestion for this research, the
validators were chosen. Are validator are, Cherryliz Q. Nobleza, Jessel ann morales, and
Ericson Nidea.

V. DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

Permission to conduct the study was acquired from the school authorities, such as the
school head and adviser of Colacling National High School with sufficient endorsement
from Grade 12 Practical Research adviser.
The researcher has gathered data through survey questionnaire that will be answered by the
respondents.
Before requiring them to complete the questionnaire , the researcher brief them first from
the questionnaire features and objectives personally assist them in answering it to address
immediately clarification. The researchers personally handed them the questionnaire. To
avoid the problem with questionnaire , all researches assisted them in answering it. The data
obtained will be held strictly confidential.
After answering or completing the task, the researcher personally collect the survey
questionnaire from the respondents. The researcher start tabulating the data.
