The brief is to highlight the AHG’s BOH Design Guide and previous agreed
BOH schematic design layouts for project team to speed up the BOH’s Design
Development.
The highlights in this brief are the minimum standard for hotel BOH areas,
and other requirements not described herein shall refer to the Artyzen Brand
Design, Engineering and ICT Standard.

3. Thickness 20mm, Surface as R12 non-profiled,
unglazed, dry-pressed homogenous tiles, acid
and oil resistant, resistant against caustic
solutions, extremely high point loads are possible
according to DIN/EN 176, water absorption: <
3%, flexural strength: 27 m/mm2;
4. Curved skirting: Floor to wall & juncture to be
coved w/ radius 20 mm to min. height to wall
150 mm;
5. Concrete Plinth: Non-absorbent masonry
concrete plinth base with a layer of smooth
finished (same material as floor). Minimum
height should be 100 mm. Spaces between the
masonry base and the equipment must be sealed

window allowed;
3. Ceiling: Ceiling gird system (600mm x 600mm);
4. Door: Fire resistant type; A min 900mm x 2m for
easy rack delivery; electronic key card; hangers;
stop; silencers;
5. No wet room above Server Room; Floor immediately
above the room shall be watertight and any
openings in the ceiling, walls or floor shall be sealed;
MANNING:
1. No staff in this room;

f) Engineering Facilities: MEP Plantrooms and Area;
1. Floor: Heavy duty homogenous tiles; 100mm
concrete plinth for all floor standing
panels/equipment. Floor Drain for Mechanical
Plantrooms, to provide the scrapper drain and
sump pit as necessary for equipment drains and
overflows, arranged to minimize potential
tripping hazards.
2. Base/Sealant: 100mm vinyl;
3. Wall: Painted whited. Acoustic type wall panels /
ceiling panels for noise operation plantrooms as
advised by Acoustic Consultant;
4. Door size or wall opening for full equipment
replacement delivery shall be advised by MEP
Designer. (Remark: Assemble of equipment
product on site is not advisable due to
inadequate site-test facilities for verifying the
final product performance);
5. Door Hardware: Electronic key card for essential
plantrooms, and mechanical key for non-
essential plantroom; hangers; stop; silencers;

f) Engineering Facilities: MEP Plantrooms and Area;
NOISE / VIBRATION TREATMENT REQUIREMENT:
1. MEP Plantrooms, e.g. Chiller Plantroom and Cooling Tower • MEP equipment at above of L20_Guestrooms

appurtenances or condensate drainage;
2. All electrical panels and circuits accessible to the
public must be kept locked;
3. Electric shock treatment notices must be prominently
displayed internally together with all statutory
notices on the entry door;
