STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

“Why Big Schools Like Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School
Needs a Digitalized School System”

This study aims to find solutions against the flaws of the old school system
and the research will take place in Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School, La
Consolacion University Philippines and Bulacan State University in the school
year between 2022 to 2023. The expected participants are securities, teachers,
students and graduates from a computer related field and non computer related
fields.

GENERAL PROBLEM

Thousand of students are enrolled in big schools like Marcelo H. del Pilar
National High School where it becomes difficult for teachers and students to keep
on track with school related needs. When things are done the old traditional way
there will be a lot of unnecessary amount of time will be spent on a particular task
when we could just use the great technology we now have today not to replace but
to assist with the work load that will create an improved working environment for
both students and teachers where a digitalized school system offers more
capabilities and opportunities.

SPECIFIC PROBLEMS

1. Transparency

a. Grades needs to be automatically calculated and the information is

displayed in the school website or app.
b. School Records of Student Violations needs to be displayed for
a call of disciplinary actions from a parent or the student themselves.
2. Security

a. Anyone can wear a simple ID and the security won’t be able to

recognize unwanted guests when multiple students are entering the
school premise.

b. Students are still able to skip classes during class hours despite having
security around the gate.

c. The School liability within the safety of the student who skip classes
during class hours.

3. Parents Unavailability

a. Some parents aren’t able to attend a meeting to receive an update about

the student’s performance at school.

b. There are parents who works abroad and needs an option to enroll
their children without their physical presence.

c. Some parents also needs an option where they can pay for their child’s

need through online so they don’t have to give the money in cash having
more control of their purchases.

4. Work Flow

a. Schedule errors occurs once in a while when each teacher’s schedules

conflicts with each other.

b. Students are not able to keep on track what activities they may have
missed during the day where they were absent.

c. The seperation of work from a teacher’s personal life by creating a chat

 system for teachers to answer inquiries from their students about school
related activities.
