c. Punch-in and out

When arriving to work is important to remember to

Punch-in:

Select “Punch-in” to start the money

flowing into your account: Our
payroll cycle will consider all the
hours you registered in the app to
pay you accordingly. So if you do
not “punch-in” you will not get paid
for that shift, and you will also get
a Warning for “NO SHOW”.

This process allows us to determine

what exact time you arrive at the
Warehouse.
You can only “punch-in” and
“punch-out” from inside the
Warehouse.

When having an 8 hours shift, you

will have to “punch-in” and
“punch-out” when taking your
mandatory 30 min Break.

● “Punch-out”:

7. Data Protection Course:

policies. In order to do this we provide you with a small data
training through our Rider App. This course is Mandatory
and needs to be completed on the first day of work.

8. Cargo Bike

If you are super motivated to work and want to make the

most out of your journey, we recommend that you try out
the cargo bikes, this will help you to complete many more
rides during your day, but remember to give it a try before
you take any orders with it.

The cargo bike can be used up to 2 riders per shift

maximum, as each warehouse has 2 cargo bikes. Please talk
with your Supervisor if you wish to use this bike on your
shift!

Some of our most experienced cargo riders would advice:

● !!ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET!!

● Legally, you do not need to attend cargo bike training.

However, you must do test rides in the grounds of the
Warehouse or in a safe street to get used to the bike
and be ready to use it normally for delivering orders.
● This bike is really heavy especially with orders inside
(up to 60 kg) and this means you need to work on your
balance at all times. Because of its weight, the bike
naturally is slower than other bikes.

● Make sure that the following things are working

properly before riding: both brakes, lights, seat, good
tire pressure, wheels, handlebars, full battery, ring and
of course check if the cargo lid (cover) can open and
close.

● The light turns on when you press for some seconds on

the + (plus) button next to the gray screen on the
handlebars. Please remember to use it ALWAYS when it
rains, is cloudy or when it is night and dark.

● After you check everything, please adjust your seat

according to your height. Your feet need to be able to
properly touch the ground when you sit on the bike.
This is crucial for your balance especially for when you
will need to brake or stop.

● Battery: The cargo bike has 2 batteries. If fully charged,

the batteries will usually last for 4-5 hours. To charge it,
you do not need to remove them. Ask your Supervisor
for the cable that charges the cargo bike. All you need
to do is to connect the cable to the bike. To be fully
charged the batteries need usually 3 hours minimum.
This is why you need to remember to charge ,
especially if you are on the night shift, in order for the
bike to be charged for the next morning. Being able to
use the cargo bike is highly crucial especially during
peak times with a lot of orders, so please make sure to
charge it when the batteries are getting empty!!

● Because of the big weight of the bike, you should be

super careful and go slow when you turn, it can be
easy for the bike to fall towards the side when you are
turning, so be careful with your balance.

● On the handlebars you will find a small gray screen

that shows two things: 1. On top, how many km/h you
are riding and 2. On the bottom, how many km the bike
has completed in total (like in the cars).

● You turn it on by pressing for some seconds the button

on top of the gray screen. There are 4 different speed
modes and you need to choose the turbo one: it is the
one all the riders use and the fastest one. You can
change the mode by pressing the +/- buttons next to
the gray screen!

● To be prepared, put extra Gorillas paper bags in the

cargo in case some of them get ripped during the ride.
Also put inside some normal paper to be able to
clean/dry your hands or the screen of the bike and
your phone in case of rain!

● When you deliver with this bike you will usually have a
lot of orders (5-20 orders)! According to experienced
cargo Gorillas riders, it is super useful to write in a
piece of paper all the order numbers you will deliver
and how many bags each one is! e.g. order 40= 3 bags/
order 43=2 bags.

● In case of rain, please wear your rain equipment and ride

slowly and safely.

ENJOY THE RIDE!
