A. In your perspective, do you think that the target audience was profiled successfully?
Why or why not?
- For me, I wouldn't say it was all that successful. First, because they haven't profiled their target group. I’ve learned that they need at least basic information about their target group. I'll ask them to submit a design. On the other hand, they were officially successful as thousands of artists worldwide submitted their designs. That means they are willing to participate in the TRASHed Art Recycling Campaign. I think it's an audience connection to share information. There are a lot of people who use social media to visit the festival, so that's an advantage. Many people around the world use social media platforms every day. Don't profile your target group properly. At least the information about the event was well received.
B. Which type/s of event marketing is/are used? Justify your answer.
- I believe they were using indirect marketing such as social media accounts and blogs. They use social media to disseminate information about the event. It's a social media that many people around the world use every day, so there are benefits to using it. If your target audience is retweeting or blogging, that means they are interested in attending your event and most importantly you can encourage them to tell their friends about your event. C. In your opinion, discuss the benefits of the event for the following stakeholders: a. Global Inheritance (organization)- The advantage of global inheritance is that it enables people worldwide to develop, think and be creative in relation to global problems to solve them. It sensitizes target groups to environmental issues and encourages people to act responsibly and make changes. b. Indio, California (community/locality)- The benefits for California locals are that they can promote local products they want to promote and raise funds for local schools in Indio, California. Your community will attract other people and tourists to recycle, create and make tools for the useful and wonderful art. c. Artists- It helps a lot for artists around the world to donate to their local schools as they participate in the festival to submit or design their designs. You can also make your audience aware that you can create works that alleviate global problems by using garbage. d. 85,000 attendees- A benefit for the 85,000 participants is that they can upload their blogs and posts to other social media to encourage recycling and help reduce global issues such as litter in their communities. People use social media every day all over the world, and they may find that they can engage others, take care of their trash, recycle it, and create works of art that can be exhibited.
