1 Summary of matters requiring consideration by ISO/TC 71/SC 3

1.1 Required decisions to be taken by ISO/TC 71/SC 3

• AHG 1 has a recommendation.
• A new working group for the development of an international standard on “Recycled aggregates
for concrete” will be proposed in the upcoming ISO/TC 71/SC 3 meeting on Nov. 14 by AHG 1
Convener for approval.
• A new work item for making an international standard on “Recycled aggregates for concrete
should be registered

• Possibility of a new work item proposal on “Recycled aggregate concrete” (China)

2 Summary of key activities

2.1 Key activities in this period

• AHG 1 has 12 committee members from 5 countries (Brazil, China, Japan, Norway, and Republic
of Korea) including AHG 1 Convener (Republic of Korea) as of Nov. 2022.
• Additional two members are registered (document monitor: Germany, Japan).
• AHG 1 has held four meetings (Sep. 2021 ~ Nov. 2022).
• 9 experts from 4 countries (China, Japan, Norway, and Republic of Korea) have participated in the
AHG 1 meetings (Sep. 2021 ~ Nov. 2022).
• AHG 1 has proposed a preliminary working draft on “Recycled aggregates for concrete” that
needs to be further developed under a newly established Working Group.
