Utility Operator
Role:
Safely and efficiently operate and control OSBL units and topside utilities (Turret, condensate
stabilisation, inlet facilities, MEG treatment, chemicals injection, main turbo power generation,
emergency power generation, fuel gas, hot oil, flare system and closed drain) from the site, outside the
CCR, as per the approved operating procedures, CCR operators guidance and according to Field
Supervisor instructions.
Main Responsibilities:
• Carry out all site activities to start up process units and equipment falling within the Inlet Facilitates
and Utilities Topside as per start up procedures relevant to Black/Cold/Hot start up
• Carry out facilities monitoring, data logging and operations of local control panels, equipment &
instruments under his area and provide suggestions for improvement
• Carry out isolation, inerting and defrosting for equipment in his area.
• Review and follow up all permit to work issued and prepare equipment for maintenance in his area
• Carry out plant housekeeping program in his area
• Report any faults or defects within his area, and where necessary take the first line action to correct
any abnormal situation to limit risk to personnel, plant equipment and production during emergency
situations. Proactively propose corrective actions to prevent incidents and escalations
• Carry out all site activities to Shutdown process and equipment safely as per shutdown procedures
when required.
• Coordinate continuously with CCR operator to handle all plant operating activities
• Monitor & effectively Control the consumption of chemicals
• Participate in operating procedures continuous improvement and relevant improvement initiatives
by providing the inputs necessary to update them in frequent basis.
• Support maintenance activities within the his area by shutting down equipment /process units and
preparing them for maintenance intervention in cooperation with CCR Operators
• Support turnaround activities by shutting down the facility safely, preparing the process and
equipment for maintenance/inspection activities, carrying out the tests mandated by the turnaround

• Ensure proper shift hand over and reporting to the next shift.
• Make sure he is updated with the latest standing instructions, modifications and procedures
• Support operation training program by supporting the field Operator trainees during their OJT (On
Job Training).
• Participate in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
• High Technical School: Minimum 9 years of experience, out of them 6 years in Gas Plant/ Inlet
Facilities.
• BSc of Engineering or Science: Minimum 6 years of experience, out of them 4 years in Gas Plant/
Inlet Facilities.
