Activity 3 - three states of matter

Procedure The teacher talks with the class about the different experiments and
their outcome. Is it possible to make come to a conclusion about what
is needed for water to change state of Matter? Is Is the process
necessary to change water into ice the same as that needed to change
it into fluid or vapour?

Focus on the terms:

Evaporation

Condensation

Melting

Freezing

As evaluation the students, in pairs, are to prepare large drawings (A3)


of the three states of matter and what kind of energy is needed for the
different states to change form.
