Are there limited opportunities?
● Yes because there are a lot of people
wanting to go into a limited number of
jobs in media, for example in the UK
an average job advert will receive
an average of 25 applicants with
Media jobs receiving even more
applications per job advert.
However, I am determined to go out
outside my comfort zone and gain
experience so I’ll be in the best
position possible. For example, I will
complete enrichment in related areas
at college, specifically Radio
enrichment. I will also apply for work
experience and jobs in Media during
my holidays and out of college hours
to give me additional experience that
will help me stand out from other
applicants. These limited
opportunities are sometimes not
understanding how to do the work
and where the best places are to find
experience to do with my course
● Yes, because there are a lot of people
who want to go into jobs in the film
industry and who think that they
deserve the opportunity to work in
film.
● Yes. I have looked for entry level jobs
in film and there aren’t many out there
but lots of people would apply for
them so there is lots of competition.
