“The most important step of all is

the first step.”
Blake Mycoskie

October 3, 2022, I step again in my alma matter which is

Salapungan National High School. Together with our supervisor Mr.
Rhino Lou Rivera to introduce us to Mrs. Elvira who is the head
teacher of SNHS. This time I am no longer just a student, I consider it
as my first step as 'Student-Teacher'
The students are busy roaming around not knowing that
someday one of them will serve their beloved school like me. How
fast the days it is and now I am in the front door of sucess ready to
open it and face new challenges inside that door. I am excited to have
my first step again to the new chapter but before that let me
accomplish this stage and we will go to the next level. Keep on
fighting!

“I will keep on walking for more experience and learning, so

that for my stop over I will share them to others. I will look back on
every footprint and see how long I go far”

"Sometimes it is the quite

observer who see the most"
Kathryn Nelson
In my second week as a student teacher, my Cooperating
teacher Mrs. Paz R. Balagtas introduced me to all her subject
students. Grade 8, which teaches general TLE in every quarter
she changes different area of TLE and for the grade 9 and
grade 10 which is cookery their specialization.
I state my name, where university I came from and my
purpose why I am teaching at their School like this.

Hi students, I am Frances Naomi A Javier, I am from

Bulacan State University, I am here to experience how to be a
teacher, a real teacher. I am glad that your school accepted us
to conduct our internship teaching her that's all and thank you.

My cooperating teacher advised me to seat on the back

and just observe the student for these weeks. In that way I can
outline the strategies and classroom management that I will be
using in different sections and grading.

“I knew when I met you an

adventure was going to happen “
Winne the pooh
Yes, I am glad to meet new people to be part of this
journey on my 3rd week, my cooperating teacher suggested
that I meet my cookery students, because they are advanced
on their topic. I have time to introduce themselves so I can
familiarize myself with their names and personalities.

I want to know what their names are, ages, dreams and

what are the things that symbolize their life. To be a teacher
you need to know your student so you can adjust whatever
they situation on life. To this time, you will see already who
the students are who make efforts and their role in the
classroom there are singers, dancer, artist, joker and leaders.

I am hoping that someday those students achieve their

dreams and if that happens, I am one of those people who is
clapping on their success and happy to be part of it.

4th Week

"There are no mistakes, only lessons.

Growth is a process of trial and
error"

This week on my 4th week, I am trying to teach grade 9

and 10 cookery. I am excited and at the same time nervous.
Exited to meet my knew students and nervous because maybe
I am thinking that I will not fulfill the lesson, or I will never
understand the lesson.
But along the way, I explain the definition and give some
examples and the students are willing to give their
experiences on every topic.
After the class, my cooperating teacher and I will have
some time to talk on what are the areas that I am good at and
my weak side to turn it in to my strength. She decided to give
me all the grade 9 class.
Always there is a room for an improvement. I am willing
to make mistakes but just for once because those mistakes are
the lessons that will serve as my armor on my future career as
a teacher.

5th Week

"I can do all things through

Christ which strengtheneth me"
-Philippians 4:13
At first, I am hesitant to accept this challenge, because of these
reasons; Nervous and I think I am not yet ready. Nervous, because I
will be the first to perform my teaching demonstration in my section. I
think I am not yet ready because I have limited time to prepare
because my students are having a short vacation.

But, like what Dr. Ivan Lacanilao one of my mentors in

Salapungan said "Preparation is the key to a successful Teaching
Demonstration" They Help me to prepare from classroom, lesson
plan, how to do when discussing. I am also lucky that I have a
supportive family to buy me what I need to my one of the special
events of my life. I accepted it as a challenge. Thank you also to my
student buddy Angellie Alonzo for helping me to prepared and
captured my final demo.
Lastly to our Lord Almighty thank you for giving me the skills,
wisdom, and strength to perform my final demo. To myself,
congratulations! You did an outstanding performance keep it up and
be a great teacher someday!

“Teaching kids/ students is to count

is fine, But teaching them what
counts is the best”
- Bob Talbert

6th The Salapungan National High School

indeed ready us to face the reality in the field of
education in my 6th week staying here and
teaching here. Today, I will be teaching different
students and different subjects like Research and
Araling Panlipunan.
Because once you are in the field of education
you are not sure that your major was your subject
that you will be teaching. You could assign in
Mapeh or maybe English area.
I learned that you should be and must be
flexible and have basic knowledge in different
subjects. Just in case that is like my situation
today. It is a waste of time if the student will not
learn something from you.

7th Week

"Do not just the teachers they can be

different professionals every single
day"

It was a one scary experience in my life as a

student teacher.
I had a student who asked for an assistant because she is
suffering from a headache. A few steps forward her
body collapsed on my arm. Luckily, the clinic is just
near our classroom. She is so pale when we arrived at
the clinic, she said before her breath take away "Maam
gusto ko na po matulog" I saide "Nak wag kang
matutulog open your mouth and do not close your eyes"
I open her blouse, unzip her skirt and unhooked her bra.
In just one day I switched my profession. Teacher
to nurse, that is why do not believe the teachers are
flexible. They can be a parent who guide us, they can be
friends who give advice to their students. I am proud to
be a future teacher because this profession can be a
vocational course.

8th Week

“Sometimes the thing your students

need most right now has nothing to
do with what's on your lesson plan”
Why is it necessary to have solid relationships?
An important building block for student involvement,
belonging, and eventually learning is a strong social network.
The more positive interactions students have with their
professors, the more involved they are in their studies. On my
8th weeks I been teaching them they are more listening to me
and I already knew their name without a name tag.

How I do it?

You need to connect with people more positively than

negatively if you want to have a positive relationship.
Researchers advise having five good encounters for every bad
contact, to be more precise. Positive interactions could be
addressing students by name as they enter the classroom,
praising them for their diligence, or inquiring about their
hobbies.

9th Week

“Wherever you are, you will

always be in my heart.”
-Mahatma Gandhi”
I can't tell you how much I valued our time together
these last few months. You are a group of inquisitive,
enthusiastic people who are aware of the numerous problems
plaguing the globe and want to act. I believe you will have
what it takes to be outstanding leaders at school and in your
communities if you maintain your concentration, discipline,
and consistent effort despite the difficulties.

This year, I hope you learned that you matter, you are
strong, and you have the potential to make the world a better
place. I sincerely hope you are aware of your magnificence,
that you love and believe in yourself deeply, and that you
understand that the only person you should compete with is
yourself. You will be the hope of our community.

These are the few words I leave to them. I said to them

that this goodbye is not permanent I will come back, and I
grab the chance to say “pagdasal Ninyo ako for my LET”
