1. Offering help someone you don’t know (đề nghị giúp đỡ ai)
- Ex: Can I / May I/ Shall I help you?
Do you need any help?
Accept offers: - Thank you. That would be great
- Yes please. If you wouldn’t mind.
Decline offers: - It’s OK. I can do it myself.
- No, thank you.
2. Demonstratives: this, that, these, those (tính từ và đại từ chỉ định)
- Ex: This room is big. That room is small.
These trees are tall. Those tree are short.
This is my classroom. That is yours.
These are my pens. Those are yours.
- Use: We use this / that / these / those to show which things we are talking about
This / That: for singular nouns
These / Those: for plural nouns
This / These: for things close to the speaker
That / Those: for things further away from the speaker
3. Object pronouns:
- Ex: My room is nice. I like it.
These are your brother’s books. Give them to him, please.
- Use: We use object pronouns after a verb or a preposition. We use it for singular nouns and them
for plural nouns.
4. Asking and answering about the price:
- Ex: How much is this book? = How much does this book cost? = What is the price of this book?
- It is 10.000 dong.
How much are these pens? = How much do these pens cost? = What is the price of these pens?
- They are 20.000 dong.
- Form: How much + is / are + noun?
It’s / They are + số tiền + ….
5. Pronunciation (phát âm)
