Circular/Square Seating arrangement

(Level – 1)
1. Eight people i.e. A ,B ,C ,D ,E ,F ,G and H are sitting around a circular table facing towards
the centre (not necessarily in the same order). C sits fourth to the right of G, who is not an
immediate neighbor of B. B who faces F, is an immediate neighbor of A. E sits third to the
left of H who is not an immediate neighbor of D.

2. Seven people viz. P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are sitting around a circular table having equal
distance between them. All of them are facing inside. P sits immediate right of Q. Only one
person sits between P and S (either from left or right). U sits third to the right of S. T is an
immediate neighbor of U. R sits second to the left of V.

3. There are eight persons i.e. M, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T sitting around a circular table such
that some of them facing inside and some of them facing outside the circle. S sits third to
the right of R and both of them faces opposite direction. Both the immediate neighbour of S
faces opposite directions with respect to S. T sits third to the right of P and is an immediate
neighbour of M, who sits 2nd to the left of O, who faces the same direction in which S is
facing. P sits between R and N. No two adjacent persons faces the same direction. Q faces
inside.

4. Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H sit around a square table in such a way that four of
them sit at four corners of the square and face outside the center while the other four sit in
the middle of each sides and face towards center. One person sits between A and H. E sits
second to the right of A. G sits third to the right of B. One person sits between B and D. C
does not sit opposite to D and F is not immediate neighbour of A. F does not face D.

corners of the table and four people sit in the middle of the four sides. People sit at the
corners of the table are facing outside the table and people sit in the middle of the sides are
facing inside the table.
F sits second to the right of E . Three people sit between F and G. D sits second to the left of
G. C is a neighbour D . C does not sit adjacent to G. A sits second to the right of C who sits
opposite to B . H does not sit at the corner of the table.

7. Eight friends A, B, C, D E, F G and H are sitting around a circle facing the centre. A sits third
to the left of B, while second to the right of F. D does not sit next to A or B. C and G always
sit next to each other. H never sits next to D and C does not sit next to B.

8. There are eight notes of different denominations i.e. 1,5,20,50,100,200,500,2000 rupees

which are arranged in a circular arrangement facing towards the centre not necessarily in
the same order. 50 rupees note is arranged second to the right of 200 rupees note. Odd
denominations note will not be immediate neighbour of 200 and 50 rupees note. There will
be less than 100 rupee denomination note to the immediate left and immediate right of 100
rupees note except 1 rupee note. 100 rupee note is second to the left of 5 rupees note.
2000 rupees note is second to the left 100 rupees note.

9. Eight persons i.e. F, J, K, M, N, P, S and V are sitting around a square table. Four of them
are sitting at the corners and remaining are sitting at the middle side of the table. The
persons sitting at the corners faces away from the center and the persons sitting at the
middle sides of the table faces towards the center. All the information is not necessarily in
the same order.
F sits at the middle side of the table. N sits at the immediate left of V. Two persons sit
between F and J. V sits at the immediate right of J. Three persons sit between S and N. M is
an immediate neighbor of S. M is not an immediate neighbor of J. P faces inside.

10. Eight friends M, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting around a circular table with equal
distance between them but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing the
centre with some face outside (i.e. opposite to centre).
O sits second to the right of R, R faces the centre. Only two people sit between O and N
(either form O’s right or O’s left). S sits second to the right of O. T sits to the immediate right
of N. S and N face opposite direction (i.e. if N faces the centre then S faces outside and vice
versa). Immediate neighbor of S face the same direction (i.e. If one neighbor faces the
centre then the other also faces the centre and vice-versa) Only three people sit between P
and Q. Neither P nor M is an immediate neighbor of R. Q sits second to the right of M. Both
T and Q face a direction opposite to that of O (i.e. if O faces the centre then both T and Q
faces outside and vice-versa).

them are facing towards the center and the rest are facing away from the center. Three
persons are sitting between F and H, who is facing center. C is 2nd to the right of F and faces
opposite direction to F. A sits 3rd to the left of C.G is one of the neighbor of E. Two persons
sit between G and B, who is not neighbor of H.G does not face C. G and A face same
direction but opposite to F.

14. P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and X are sitting around a circular table. Three of them are facing
outside and the rest of them are facing inside.
Q sits third to the right of P and faces outside. R sits to the opposite of Q and facing inside. U
sits to the immediate left of R and is facing in the same direction as R. V sits third to the
right of U. Q and V faces in the same direction. The one sitting between Q and V is facing the
direction opposite to them. X sits immediate left of S who is facing inside. The immediate
neighbours of Q are facing in the opposite direction of each other.

them are facing inside and some are facing outside. H is sitting immediate right of F. 3
persons are sitting between F and C. C is sitting third to the left of A. G is sitting immediate
left of A. C and D both face centre. Immediate neighbors of G face different direction. B is
sitting second to the left of E. Both immediate neighbors of E faces same direction as B. Both

that four of them sit at four corners of the square table while four sit in the middle of each
of the four sides. The ones who sit at the four corners face the centre while those who sit in
the middle of the sides face outside.
S is an immediate neighbour of both E and V. S sits in the middle of one of the sides of the
table. Only one person sits between E and H. T sits second to the right of U. U is not an
immediate neighbour of E or V. F is not an immediate neighbour of G. G faces a direction
opposite to that of U. (i.e, if U faces the centre, then G faces outside and vice versa)

17. Nine persons sit around a circular table such that some of them face towards center and
some of them face outside the center. Not more than two persons sits adjacent to each
other face same direction.
D sits second to the right of Y, who face inside. M sits third to the left of P. Q sits third to the
right of R. Q is an immediate neighbour of Y but not the neighbour of D. One person sits
between P and S, who is not an immediate neighbour of R. D and T face opposite direction
to each other. S face towards the center. T is not an immediate neighbour of R. P is not the
neighbour of Y. U faces Opposite Direction of P.

18. Ten people are sitting around a circular table according to the following conditions:
There are two persons between X and U. Y is neither adjacent to X nor opposite T. P and T
are adjacent to W. Q is opposite S who is to the right of V. R and W have four persons
between them. There are two persons between R and V.

20. Eight persons are sitting around a circular table. Some of them are facing inside the
center while some are facing outside the center. S sits second to the right of P. T sits third to
the left of S. U sits opposite to Q and Q is not an immediate neighbor of S. S is facing same
direction of P. V sits Immediate to the right of W who is not immediate neighbor of Q. R
neither sits opposite to T nor P. Both V and W are facing opposite direction. W is facing
outside the center of the circle. Both T and Q are facing opposite direction as V. While both
R and U are facing same direction to each other but opposite to S.

1. Eight persons I, J, K, L, M, N, O and P are sitting around a circular table but not necessarily
in the same order. Three of them are facing outside while five are facing towards the centre.
All of them were born in different months of the same year starting from January to August
but not necessarily in the same order. None of the person who faces outside was born in the
month which has 31 days. K is older than I. M who is the oldest sits third to the right of K. N
who was born in the month which has the least number of days is sitting third to the left of
M. Three persons are sitting between N and J, who was born in the month of March. O who
is the second youngest person, is sitting third to the right of N. L sits third to the right of I,
who is not facing the centre. Both L and I were born in the consecutive months.

10. Eight friends E, F, G, H, J, K, L and M are sitting around a circular table facing outside the
centre of the table. Each of them has account in different banks viz. DBS, DCB, OBC, PNB,
UCO, SBI, BOI and BOB, but not necessarily in the same order.
There are two friends sit between the one who has account in BOI and the one who has
account in UCO. The one who has account in DBS sits on the immediate left of the one who
has account in BOB. J and L are not immediate neighbours. L does not have account in UCO
and sits on the immediate right of M. E sits second to the right of the one who has account
in BOI. There are two friends sit between G and the one who have account in SBI. There is
only one friend sits between one who has account in SBI and the one who have account in

11. Eight students i.e. P, Q, R, S, J, K, L and M of different classes sit in a square table but not
necessarily in same order. Four students sit at corner and four sits at middle of the side of

towards center.
There are three students sit between L and class 5 student. Class 6 student sits 2nd to the
right of class 7 student. Class 5 student sits immediate left of P. Q sits 3rd to the left of L.
Class 7 student is an immediate neighbor of Q. R who is in class 8, sits 3rd to the right of Q. S
sits immediate right of J who is in class 9. Students of class 11 and 12 sits opposite to each
other. Student of class 10 sits 2nd to the right of class 11 student. K who faces outside is not
an immediate neighbor of Q.

such that four of them sits at the corner and four of them sits at the middle of each side.
Four of them like flowers i.e. Rose, Lily, Orchid, Sunflower and four of them like fruits i.e.
Mango, Guava, Banana and Kiwi. Those who sits at the corner likes flower and those who
sits at the middle like fruits. Some of them face inside and some of them face outside.
D sits third to the right of the one who likes Guava. D does not like Lily and Rose. The one
who likes lily sits third to the right of H. The one who likes Rose sits second to the right of
the one who like Lily. The one who likes Rose is not an immediate neighbour of H. The one
who likes Rose sits opposite to the one who likes Sunflower. The one who likes Guava is an

2nd to the right of T who is opposite to N. N and V was seated at a gap of 3 persons. V is
opposite to S's neighbor. O was to the immediate left of R. P was seated opposite to U's
