1 Summary of Experience – Statements against each of the


Summery of experience “competencies” of your chosen pathway
Mandatory: 1500 words Competencies are required at varying levels:
Level 1- Knowledge and understanding. What you know and how you gained that understanding.
Technical: 3000 – 4000 Level 2 – Aplication of the knowledge and understanding. The doing and applying it in your work

Level 3 - An in-depth knowledge on the subject and the ability to offer client advice

2 Case Study – Your personal involvement in a recent project relevant


to your pathway, not older than 2 years

Case study: 3000 words 3 CPD hours – a minimum of 48 hours per 12 months

Formal – Structured learning with clear objectives and outcomes
Informal – Self managed learning related to your professional role
At least 50% of minimum requirement must be formal

 Confidentiality statement: make sure you do not disclose any sensitive details
if you do not have the consent from your company and Client

• Good grammar and check for spelling • Do not overplay experience


mistakes • Do not only refer to one type of client
• Word count as per the requirements • Do not use expressions such as: I think… Or

Before you ‘hit submit’ have you?

 Followed the guidelines and met all requirements?


– Exceeding word counts, incorrect competency selections,
missing CPD etc. may all result in your submission being
rejected
 Ensured all application fields are completed correctly?
– A missing field or incorrect information may invalidate
your application
 CHECKED your submission?
– You will not be able to amend once sent

• It’s not the end of the world, the interview is your
opportunity to address this

Counsellor role
• Supports the candidate through the journey of the
submissions
• Regularly meet with the candidate (online or face to
face)
• Keep up to date with Assessment changes
• Assesses candidates experience and submissions
• Approves the submissions of the candidate
• Decides when candidate is ready for the assessment
• Checks the referral report and assess together the
deficiencies mentioned in the report
