COURSE DESCRIPTION
• This course provides an overview of the requirements for
launching an entrepreneurial career and starting up an
entrepreneurial venture.
• The course also shed light on the entrepreneur as the main
success factor in the new venture formation and
development.
• The central focus of the course is to prepare the students with
the essence of entrepreneurship and business planning skills
that is essential for the success of new ventures.
• The subject delivery combines both theoretical and practical
aspects of entrepreneurship. Theoretical aspect is looking at
the important elements in understanding entrepreneurship,
while practical aspect is engaging the student to develop
and propose a viable Business Plan.

• Apply practical skills in determining the

• Explain fundamentals of entrepreneurship

Course Learning Outcome
Apply practical skills in determining
the business opportunities using
verbal and non-verbal
communication (PLO10, A5).
SCOPE
▪ This activity aims to expose students in identifying
business opportunities.
▪ Students are required to conduct a business
activity either sell product/offer service.
▪ Business activity chosen can be online or offline
business.
▪ Duration for business activity is up to lecturer’s
discretion (one day to one month)
▪ Business activity is from 08.04.2022 – 29.04.2022.

PROJECT DESCRITION – Use 5W 1H


What is your product/service
Why your select the product/service (justification)
Who is your customer, supplier, owner, etc
When do you do the activity (date, duration, etc)
Where do you do the activity (location, online/offline, etc)
How do you sell your product/service to customer (tools use for sell and promotion)
Prepare simple financial statement of the activity (cash flow/income statement)

BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS


Students summarize business activity using BMC block (1 page).

EXPERIENTAL LEARNING
Students write their experiences gained doing the business activity.
APPENDICES
Evidences such as pictures, snapshot conversation with customer, product/service advertisements,
customers testimonial, promotional activities such as promotion video, TikTok, etc.

preparing a business plan in a group of 4 to 5
members ONLY.
▪ Students are required to propose one
business to create (starting from scratch &
partnership).
▪ Collect information for future business.
▪ Throughout the process, students will learn
about entrepreneurial skills and working
teams.

Course Learning Outcome


Demonstrate an entrepreneurial skill in

SCOPE

▪ Using the idea of your proposed business, you are required


to your business idea.
▪ Only 1 student will represent the group for the presentation.
▪ The duration of your presentation must be within 5 minutes.
▪ The presentation will be held on week 13 and week 14.
PRESENTATION OUTLINE
▪ You may use these points to prepare presentation:
▪ Your business background, history, logo, mission, vision and
your team.
▪ Introduction of a problem that persists and is relatable to your
target market.
▪ Description of how does your product/service may provide the
solution to the problem. What are the value proposition
offered by your business.
▪ You may show the product prototype, illustration,
demonstration or any supporting material to support your
presentation.
▪ Explanation of your plan to market the product/services and
expected revenue stream to your business.
▪ Conclusion.
