Unforgettable Moment at Home during Covid-19 Pandemic

A little bit story first before that Pandemic, I’m Indra Febriansyah in here can say that I don't
feel now I’ve entered the last year of junior high school 2 Pare. Exams that made many students in
junior high school was depressed time with a frightening specter when hearing the word “UN” or
National Examination. Although not a few also consider that the National Examination is an
opportunity that makes them have reasons and goals to study together to face the exam. But for
me. . . The moments leading up to the National Examination are exciting times. When it began to
enter January, we were showered with Tryout to prepare ourselves for the UN. For me Tryout like
this is very fun. Not because my results were satisfying, but because of my bad results I was able to
realize my ability to face the National Examination. And the teachers are more active in teaching for
fear that there will be students who do not pass the National Examination later. At my school, so
unique, why? Because, I’ve also implemented early morning tutoring at 6 a.m but just for all last year
student which come for special tutors preparing for national exams, I always remember I came with
a sleepy face I left, of course those days that I remember very much because if I were not in my third
year of school I would not feel what it was like feel that very tutor early morning.

Suddenly, all our national exam preparations became unfocused and disorganized when
news of the outbreak of a new virus from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, was reported to the
World Health Organization (WHO) on December 31, 2019, it was almost certain that no one
expected the reality of the world to be totally changed like this. Even as the WHO recorded the first
death due to this virus on January 11, 2020, the world did not budge. Some might think this will only
happen in Wuhan, not in other parts of the world. Yes as not expected, in the end the covid-19 virus
entered Indonesia. Two Indonesians tested positive for corona virus on March 2 last. The
announcement of the first corona virus case was delivered by President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo
together with Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto, at the Merdeka Palace. The first case of
the corona virus in Indonesia originated from the presence of foreigners from Japan who were
positive of the corona virus visiting Indonesia. Terawan said that the Japanese foreign national living
in Malaysia had already been infected with COVID-19 when he came to Indonesia.

President Jokowi's policy which asked all schools to take two weeks off was taken seriously
by the Kediri Regency Education Office (Disdik). Holidays from Monday (3/16) to Sunday (3/29) for all
levels of schooling starting PAUD / TK, SD and SMP in Kediri Regency. Yes that means my school was
also affected and forced to have time to take a break, but in this situation so confused for me that
how the fate continues about our Final Examination that we’ve been prepared for a long time ago?

Until finally on March 24, 2020 Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim,
in an official statement after attending a limited meeting via video conference, Tuesday (3/24/2020),
around 12:30, in Jakarta, delivered, a national examination (UN) was canceled. To be honest when
this announcement came out was a very unforgettable experience for me, where I was also shocked
the government's quick decision to abolish this year's National Examination, I imagine what if the UN
was canceled, later when I enrolled in high school the acceptance of new students would be
complicated or difficult unless there was a standard substitute value used, for example the average
report card grade, or the school exam scores carried out online. It's like fighting but there's no end.
my friends and I are eager to learn, they prepare ahead of time to face the UN, but not tested, I think
it was postponed or sought other forms so as not to discourage us from continuing to study.
However, as a student there is nothing I can do but support the government's decision because our
safety is first. Now, For registration system for new students or called PPDB senior high school, I am
just waiting and waiting for the implementation instructions and technical instructions from the
school regarding the elimination of the UN and the replacement assessment system.

During the remaining final days of my semester for online learnings, chools also provide
online practice-based practice applications that can be accessed through their own devices or
laptops. Even so I feel homesick for school, in class I can interact directly or face to face with my
friends and my teachers in school. I just can only pray that everything will return to normal,
hopefully this virus will pass quickly, hopefully we can get back to doing the things we want, but for
now, I invite all to stay at home aids the government and medical personnel to stop the spread of
this virus due to the common good. We pray that patients and medical workers will be given
strength and recover. Stay safe everyone.
