ABSTRACT

The study entitled A Causal Analysis Study on the Effects of Genshin Impact on ABM 11-1 and ICT 11-
1 Students of ACLC Antipolo was conducted to investigate the relationship between Genshin usage
and the academic performance of ABM 11-1 and ICT 11-1 students at ACLC Antipolo during the
Academic Year 2023-2024. The profile of the respondents in terms of name (optional), grade level,
their time allotted in using Genshin, and their academic performance in terms of Mental Agility, focus,
motivation, and creativity were considered to determine if there is significant relationship between
using Spotify and academic performance. To determine the effect of Spotify on the academic
performance of ICT students in AMA Computer Learning Center, the researchers have adopted the
correlational research design to find out the correlation of the two variables. This study utilized
correlational research for the reason of finding out how using Spotify correlates to the academic
performance of an ICT student and how it affects it. The sampling method employed for this research
is the Stratified Sampling Technique, which enables the selection of specific participants, specifically
ICT students, with precision and targeted representation in the study. The researchers surveyed a
total of 100 students in the ICT strand using a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument
for the researcher’s study on the effects of Spotify on the academic performance of ICT students at
ACLC Antipolo. Upon analyzing the results of the survey questionnaire, it was determined that a
majority of the respondents reported a positive effect on their academic performance, as supported
by the data obtained from the survey.
