Basic Formats of the Research Paper

1. What are the key concepts that you have learned in this session?
 I have learned that the Future Researcher mus be the last benefactor you sight
what benefits.
 I have learned it is very important to know the ethics of writing research paper to
avoid plagiarism in your research.
 I have learned that there is a specific font style and size the research paper has.

2. How can you integrate this in teaching and in the field of education?
 I can integrate this by applying all the knowledge I acquired in this training for me
to create my future research paper.
 I can this by following the Ethics of writing research paper to avoid any form of
plagiarism in my future research paper.
3. Make a summary of the session either in paragraph or bullet form.
 Mr. Audric Curtis Dy discussed about Basic Format of Research Paper to
familiarize the formats and parts of the research paper, to follow the formats of
research paper and to observe the formats of the research paper.
 Ethics of writing a research paper is to avoid any form of plagiarism, Maintain the
confidentiality of the respondents, and observe the proper protocols of gathering
the data.
 Research Paper format the usual font must be Times New Roman and its size
should be 12. The text of your research output should be left aligned and the
page number before Chapter I should be in Roman numerals, while cardinal
number can be started in Chapter I.
 Research Paper Chapters
 Chapter I The Problem and its background it contains Background of the Study,
Statement of the Problem, Research Hypothesis, Conceptual
Framework/Theoretical Framework, Scope and Deliminations, Significance of the
Study and Definition and terms.
 The Format of statement of the Problems contains Five Paragraph: Rationale,
Area of Concern, Brief Literature Review highlighting the main research problem,
impact of the research problem to the community, Objectives and Some citations
especially on the third paragraph
 In Chapter II Review of related literature and Studies contains review of related
literature according to the following SOP: SOP#1, SOP #2, SOP#3 and
Synthesis it is important in order identify the strengths and gaps of the sources
you use.
 RRL should be thematic to be used as a guide in making researcher made
instruments.
 In Chapter III Methodology contains Research design, Population and Sampling
Technique, Description of Respondent, Research Instrument, Data Analysis and
Data Gathering Procedure.
 In Chapter IV Analysis, Presentation, and Interpretation of Data include Place the
name of Figure number and must italicized.
 In Chapter V Summary, conclusion, and Recommendations it must be thematic,
your conclusion must be based on the summary of findings and it must be written
in your own words and your recommendation can be in bullet.
 The Reference must be arranged alphabetically and Indented through hanging
indent.
