VI. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:
The Malubog Integrated School conducted its 1st School Learning Action Cell for
S.Y. 2023 on the 4th of April, 2023 with the program/session title “Unstoppable Growth through

Personnel for S.Y. 2023.” The session was facilitated by the school master teacher, Mrs. Pamela
E. Cabusao. The topic on the first session was 21st Century Skills.
To begin, Mrs. Cabusao welcomed us all to our very first SLAC this school year. Then, she
made an introduction on the topic to be discussed by presenting the session objectives and key
contents. She also reminded us on the expected outputs that we must accomplish and submit after
the session.
For the next part, Mrs. Cabusao gave an activity where we have to analyze ten characteristics of
learners and identify correctly what key stage it belonged based on our prior knowledge. The
activity served as the pretest. After a couple minutes, we checked our answers and we were
surprised because we only got few correct answers. This proves that we really needed to have
this session to refresh our minds and recall what we might have missed and forgotten about the
transition years of each key stages. We then reviewed the learners’ physical, social-emotional,
and cognitive characteristics.
After this, Mrs. Cabusao taught us The Seven Cs – 21st Century Lifelong Skills which are as
follows: Critical Thinking-and-Doing, Creativity and Innovation, Communication,
Computing/ICT Literacy, Career and Learning Self-Reliance, Collaboration, and Cross Cultural
Understanding. We discussed the importance of each skills one by one based on our experiences
in our day to day teaching. Some teachers shared their thoughts on how we can instill and
develop these skills to our learners.
At the end of the discussion, we were tasked to make a sample Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) in
our area of specialization following the prescribed format. We were also tasked to make a
reflective journal based on the questions below;
1. As a teacher, how does the session help you to become a responsive teacher to the needs of
your learners?
2. How did the session help you in integrating a 21st Century Skill in your DLP?
The first session ended with an applause and gratitude from the participants to the facilitator.

VII. IMPACT OF THE ACTIVITIES/RESULTS:

Learning a skill is hard. Teaching it is much harder. As a 21st Century Educator, it is my job to
teach 21st Century Skills to my learners. It is a challenge but through this session, I am motivated
and inspired to become a responsive teacher to the needs of my learners, and what they need is to
become equipped with the seven Cs. How to integrate these skills in my day to day class is not
easy, but with the help of my colleagues, mentors, and continuous learning it will be less difficult
and much worthwhile.
