Based on your observations, what are the challenges encountered by the teachers in the following
aspects:

1. Multicultural classrooms – Different learning styles and the language barrier


2. Learner-centered teaching – The different student’s mindset and the communication
between teacher and students.
3. Multi-grade classes – managing different content at different levels
4. ICT integration – lack of competencies, inadequate computers in classrooms, lack of
proper training.
5. Brain-based education- lack of scientific data and difficulties in description that are foggy
often cause confusing.
6. Multiple intelligences- pressure of time, crowded classes and lacking of learning materials
7. Children with special needs- different attitudes and behaviors.

1. What does UNESCO stand for?


Answer:
The acronym UNESCO stands for United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural
Organization International Affairs Office.

2. What are these four Pillars of Education?


Answer:
Learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be are the four
Pillars of Education that UNESCO that provides new insights into education for the 21st
century.

3. As a prospective teacher, how will you develop these skills and attitudes?
Answer:
As a prospective teacher, in able to develop this skills and attributes I must able to
comprehend within myself before I will let myself engaged in my students. In should always
limit my actions and practice this skills and attributes because I do believe ‘’practice makes
us perfect”. Practice until I can I will able to modest this skills and attributes,
4. What challenges are encountered by teachers at present?
Answer:
Lack of effective communication, lack of knowledge in technologies, re-establishing
classroom routines and internet connection are encountered by teachers at this present time.

5. What should schools do to respond to these challenges?


Answer:
Things that should schools need to respond these challenges is to build trust with their students
and work for effective communication in the class, learning to cope in the technology era that
students are more knowledgeable than teachers. Work for a classroom routine even in online
learning.
