1. What is contemporary philosophy in education?

Answer: The cotemporary philosophy focusses on language and lived
subjective experiences. It is used by educators educational teaching
practices to define how and what they should teach. It is used by
educators are perennialism, essentialism, progressivism and
reconstructionism. The contemporary philosophy of education plays an
important role of teaching curriculum.

2. Describe how your professional growth works?

Answer: The process of creating goals is the beginning of personal
growth. I developed great confidence through my public speaking
experiences. Every time in my class discussion and training. Aspect of
development, I do have difficulty managing my work life balance which
sometime results in situations when, I struggle to finish my
commitments and other essentials and lecture hosted by the
professionals in the teaching industry.

3. What are the 5 major educational philosophy of education? Explain each

philosophies. Base on our discussions.
Answer: 1. Perennialism – This educational philosophy focuses on the
training and development of teacher. It believes that every
teacher great works. It is teacher centered.
2. Essentialism – It is considered similar to perennialism this
educational philosophy focuses on the training and
development of the teacher.
3.Progressivism – It is student – centric philosophy focuses on
the training and development of the teacher.
4. Reconstructionism- This philosophy of education is a
student
centered approach that focuses on world matters.
5. Behaviors – It is a teacher- centered philosophy closely
follows
the philosophy realism.

4. Which is better traditional or contemporary way of learning?

Answer: Both strategies of teaching are important but there

are differences between the two way of strategies of learning. The
traditional techniques used repetition and memorization of information
to educate students, it meant that they were not developing their critical
thinking problem solving and decision-making skills. While the modern
learning encourages students to collaborate and therefore be more
productive.

5. Why is behaviorism used today?

Answer: One of the best examples of behaviorism that is very used
today it have a positive reinforcement. A student gets small treat if they
get 100% on their spelling test. In the future, students work hard and
study for their test in order to get the reward.

6. Who is the famous western philosopher?

Answer: Socrates is considered to be the founding father of western
philosophy. Socrates examined all aspects of life in ancient Athens to his
own detriment.

Answer: The role of Department of Education. It’s supervises all
elementary and secondary educations institutions, including alternative
learning system , both public and private and provides for the
establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated
system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.

9. One thing that you loved about your present work/responsibilities’

exposures.
Answer: Teaching is really rewarding. It’s satisfying to see children
progress both academically and non- academically and non-
academically as rounded people and future citizens. We may not realize
it but we are the learner’s role model. My responsible reasons why I want
to became a teacher: 1. Helping students learn new things, 2. Helping
young learner grow and learning and growing as a person.

Answer: My expectation of this course about philosophy it is

all about the activity of attempting to understand the world in all its
aspect. May be its all about philosophy of education and its primary
objective. It is also clarifying the educational knowledge, prioritizing
pedagogical theory and logical theory about philosophy.
