1.0 PURPOSE

This method statement explains the sequential steps for removing the existing
Acknowledgment Wall Sign and installing the new sign at the same location.

2.0 SCOPE

This method statement provides the controlled sequence of Acknowledgment Wall Sign

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

This job can be carried out by the operatives without much supervision. The supervisor
responsibilities are mainly to ensure that the signage are installed in the correct
sequence as per the key plan. The HSE officer’s role is to ensure that the area is
cleaned once the signs are installed.

4.0 RESOURCES & COMPETENCY

 Resources
o Signage Installers (Operatives)
o Ladder
o Measuring Tape
o Signage Components
o Cordless handheld Drill(Small) with adapter chuck - 24v cordless
o Combination spanners - 10, 13, 17, 19mm 12” adjustable up to 34mm
o Screwdrivers - flat, positive, Phillips (various sizes), terminal
o Spirit Level.
o PPE.
o Permit to Work
o Approved drawings
 Competency
o The operatives should be experienced in installation of signage.
o No certifications are applicable.

5.0 SEQUENCE OF ACTIVITIES


5.1 Locate the location of the existing signage.
5.2 Remove the existing signage panel from the bracket.
5.3 Remove existing bracket.

5.4 Locate and confirm that the new will be of exactly same dimensions as of
the removed signage.
5.5 Align the bracket and drill holes on to walls for installation of the bracket.
5.6 Install the brackets using appropriate screws, check for alignment.
5.7 Install the signage panel onto the brackets using concealed screws on
the side.
5.8 Check for alignment and quality of application.
6.0 LIST OF SIGNIFICANT HAZARDS

No Significant Hazard applicable – The maximum height of installation will be 2.2


meters and only portable small battery operated drill machines will be used.
