NEW RECORD OF AGRIOSPHODRUS DOHRNI SIGNORET

FROM SEIIKOKU (HEMIPTERA: REDUVIIDAE)

Agriosphodrus dohrni has hitherto been recorded only from Kyushu (Japan),
China and Southeast Asia. On April 28, 1962, Yano captured one individual of this
species on the trunk of Prunus yedoensis Matsumura at Hijikawa, Kanogawa-cho,
Ehime Prefecture. Recently, Tachikawa found that the nymphae of this species
appear gregariously on the trunk of Quercus glauca Thunberg at Dogo Park, Ma-
tsuyama city every year. (Toshiro Yano and Tetsusaburo Tachikawa)

OUCH/MY/A NEW NAME FOR ACANTHINOIDES OUCHI

The name Acanthinoides Ouchi (Journ. Shanghai Sci. Inst. (Sect. 3), 4: 269, 19.
40) is preoccupied by ao another stratiomyid-genus, Acanthinoides Matsumura (Thou-
sand insects of Japan. Additamenta 2. P. 367, 1916) which is a synonym of Craspedo-
metopon Kertesz (Ann. Mus. Nat. Hung., 7: 373, 1909).
Lindner did not see the type of Acanthinoides basalis (Matsumura, Kontyu-bun-
ruigaku, Part 2, P. 45, 1915), which is the type-species of Acanthinoides Matsumura
and a synonym of Craspedometopon frontale Kertesz, 1909, and his redescriptions
of this species (Die Fliegen der pahiarktischen Region. 18. Stratiomyiidae, p. 208-
209, 1938 and Arb. morphol. taxon. Ent. Berliu-Dahlem, 8 (2) : 96- 98, 1941) are not
based on true one.
The redescription of Ouchimyia nipponensis (Ouchi, 1940), which is the type-
species of Ouchimyia and had been found from Kagoshima, Kyushu, Japan, will be
