(b) When the wire is connected this way, there is no gap or break in the electric circuit. The
circuit is closed and electric current flows through the bulb.

2. (a) Bulb A will remain lit as the electric circuit is still closed. Electric current can still flow
through the electric circuit after bulb B is removed.
(b) Bulb C will not remain lit as the electric circuit is open. Electric current cannot flow
through the electric circuit after bulb D is removed.

3. (a) He can remove one bulb from the electric circuit and close the circuit.
He can add one more bulb one after another to the electric circuit.
