    RE: TRANSFORMING RURAL LIVELIHOODS IN WESTERN ZAMBIA: CONTRACT


    No. MWDSEP/AfDB/RWSSP/W/01/2017: SNAGS AND OUTSTANDING WORKS

    Reference is made to your letter dated 13th September 2021 concerning defects and outstanding
    works on the contract for borehole siting, drilling, supply and installation of 320 hand pumps i.e.
    Shangombo (no. 83), Sikongo (no. 45), Kalabo (no 71), Mitete (no. 63) and Nalolo (no. 58)
    districts of Western Province Lot-4.

    We write to bring to your attention that the contract end date was 1st April 2020 and the defect
    notification period came to an end on 31st March 2021. In view of the above, the contractor has
    no obligation to attend to the snags and outstanding works identified after the stated period. The
    contractor will only be instructed to rectify the defects identified and notified within the defect
    notification period.
