INFLATION PROBLEM IN THE

RESOLUTION
The issue is with the increasing prices of goods in the
Philippines, the average Filipino is having a hard time
purchasing goods for their everyday Necessities, leading
to some people in puberty, on the yearly basis the CPI
increased by 9.4 percentage points during the month from
108.8 percent in January 2022.the CPI in NCR
persistently remained lower from Philippines previous
record which is registered a higher increase of 2.0
percentage points from 119.4 percent in the past month to
121.4 percent in January 2023. The resolution for the
growing inflation in the Philippines is to strengthen the
economy so that will have strength in purchasing power.
We need to strengthen the power of peso so we can keep
up with the rising cost of living. The goverment should
also need look for long term solution for the inflation and
not just a band aid approach. This is also need to include
inforcing improving the tax collection. Cut goverment
spending on unnecessary goverment funding which only
lead to further corruption by the goverment official.
Addressing high inflation requires a whole-of-
government approach. It requires fiscal consolidation
through budget rationalization and more tax revenues.

With the continuation of its increase, many people will
find it difficult to buy, in the Philippines the expense of
each product has grown, the price of onions has become
expensive per kilo. Food prices continue to rise, they
cannot increase because consumers will have a hard time.

With the continuous passage of time, the price also
continues to increase. Where this is one of the main
problems facing the Filipino people today and the result
is poverty. In this situation, the prices will increase
slightly due to various factors which in turn causes a
negative effect for the consumers. The issues facing the
continuous increase in the price of basic commodities are
its impact and how to solve it, thereby reducing the
suffering faced by Filipinos. A lot of people are addicted
to it. In which case, it will be more difficult for the less
fortunate to buy and the advancement of people will be
slower because the required budget to buy daily
necessities will increase. A quick solution is needed.

PRICE OF ONIONS
Today's price increase for the commodity is a result
of inflation, just like the price increase for onions
the day before was a result of other regions being
affected by a potent typhoon. When it comes to the
sellers, we will be at a loss because they are still
weighing it so a vegetable becomes expensive as if
an onion were weighed, the price is very small, it's
only 6 pesos, isn't it small? The people are
expensive they an expensive because at the increase
fertilizer are placed and so that they deteriorate
easily and they are not immediately caught by a
strong storm because of the fertilizer that
deteriorates faster. It's like a test; the question may
be simple or inexpensive, but they are
bloodthirsty, so the answer will either be costly or
incorrect.

A rise in commodity prices that results in inflation over time
reduces the purchasing power of products. The average price
increase of a selection of chosen goods and services over time
reflects the rate at which power decreases are acquired. An
increase in commodity prices, which are typically reported as
percentages, indicates that a unit of currency can now buy less
than it could have in the past. Deflation, which happens when
prices drop but buying power rises, can be contrasted with
inflation.A rise in price, which results in less being purchased
with each unit of currency. The general public's cost of living is
impacted by the decline in purchasing power of goods and
services, which eventually slows economic growth. The majority
opinion among economists is that when the nation's currency
changes, sustained inflation takes place. daily necessities growth
exceeds economic expansion. Many people are hurting as a result
of inflation. Due to the increase in pricing, low-income
individuals could no longer afford to make frequent purchases of
products or services. According to the Philippine Statistics
Authority, the inflation rate dropped by 0.1% from 6.4% in July
to 6.3% in August. Price spikes are challenging, and according to
National Statistician Undersecretary Dennis Mapa, this is due to
the sharp rise in the cost of items such as Sinaga vegetables, fish,
and refined sugar. House rent, water, electricity, gas, and other
petroleum products also increased. It is not the expected peak or
highest of the inflation rate for this time period, according to the
PSA. He said it is expected that the price of goods will increase
in the next three months due to the Bagyong Karding effect as
well as the number of rice and peso against the dollar tanimans

Region 2 (Cagayan) and Region 9 (Zamboanga), respectively.
The increase in the price of various products or daily necessities
is harmful for most people. the reason why most people are
hungry is because they cannot buy the products they need to live
on a daily basis due to the increase in the prices of various
products or inflation rates. The government should look at how

in mind, Don't get different products from other countries first,

HOW IT AFFECTS
For an average Filipino, inflation means that over time, one has
to pay more to be able to meet basic needs such as food. When
inflation is low and prices are stable, the average Filipino is able
to feel more secure in investing money, knowing that it will
remain stable over time. This also supports consumption
because under this environment. prices do not change
significantly. This means that consumers are able to plan their
purchases. This consumer confidence in the economy will
eventually translate to economic growth. However, if prices
decrease as a result of deflation, employment gets affected. In
this situation, there is more supply than demand. With too much
products to sell and very limited buyers, a producer is forced to
drop prices to be able to sell. This can also lead to other
measures such as lay-offs. When people lose cost-cutting
economic recession. their jobs, they become more unable to
purchase goods and services even at low prices. This situation
could eventually lead to On the other hand, if prices get too
high which is referred to as hyperinflation, the average Filipino
tends to be more protective of his or her money. Given the
uncertainty of whether prices will continue to go up or down
over time, the consumer will opt to keep instead of spend or
invest money.

EXPERIENCE
The Philippines has experienced inflation and problems with the
economy, currently the price of the products have been going up
including the infamous onion struggle. It's not only food
products that are rising but also fuel, water, electricity etc. The
Philippines inflation rate increased on 8.1 in December 2022
but raised on 8.7 since February this year. President Ferdinand
Marcos Jr. addressed the inflation, saying it kept him all night.
"That's what I lose sleep every night over - how to bring down
inflation" "I'm determined to make sure that inflation starts to
come down". It's disappointing and sorrowful that the Filipinos
have to experience this kind of price hike especially for the poor
