1. How are we affected by the Pandemic? Cite personal experiences regarding how your
family found ways to “make both ends meet” as means to survive the Covid-19
Pandemic.

Since pandemic hits, Covid cases have increased rapidly. How ironic when we performed
lockdown that was the time where cases continue increasing. Many people are affected because
of the pandemic business and companies are forced to cut resulting in firing of workers and
losing their job. And students like me are forced to engage in distance learning. Where we will
choose either we will attend classes every day through online or we will get some modules to our
school once a week and finish the task. Because of the pandemic life becomes more complicated
than before. We’re all relying on the internet for school, work and business. Now we know how
to value every coin that we will use.

The condition of farmers due to pandemic because of Covid 19. One farmer named Renato
Gameng brings up his statement of the effect of the lockdown to them. The coronavirus brought periodic
lockdowns, leaving farmers stranded from their crops. A controversial rice import liberalization law had
decimated domestic rice production, leaving fewer jobs.

Farmers suffer scarcity or the shortage of budget and jobs in their province. Mang Gameng also
considers that their life is meant to be suffering and poverty. They lose their jobs and government relief
doesn't come to them. They didn't receive any help from the government after the shortage. And if you're
about to say how about their salary. Farmers are not paid for a decent price in exchange for their job.
That’s why Mang Gameng considered that last year was very unkind to them.

Share your Social Problem Analysis Chart with your family members and friends. Ask them
for their thoughts regarding your accomplished chart. Write down their suggestions and
comments.

After making my social problem analysis chart, I managed to show, discuss and ask for
suggestions and feedback to my loved ones. Which are my parents, relatives and friends. They were
unexpectedly amazed that the Social Problem Analysis Chart can answer all of their “what if’s” in this
midst of pandemic.

As much as possible I want to monitor and watch out for my loved ones every day, and every hour.
Because I’m afraid they might have a virus and be weak. That's why sharing my chart can help me a lot.
They will be aware of the effects of the social problems when they choose to tolerate it and do some
unpredicted actions. My parents gladly say that they are surprised that I care for our community and my
work can be a voice to every individual to wake up and open their minds to the actions that they don’t
take any responsibility for. And my friends asked me if she can use my chart to educate other people and
her other friends too. I’m surprised that this chart can mean a lot to them. And help me as a student to
contribute in aiming to have a safe and better place to live where I’m not afraid to go outside anymore.

Now I'm using my voice to enlighten other people and save them too. I can see that this social
analysis helps to examine a social problem, issue or trend that prompting in the situation being analyzed.
It is also a situation that is viewed by some community members as being undesirable . And yes I’m
promoting you as an individual to start the change with your actions. Be aware and vigilant too, use your
resources wisely.
